The prompt is An animated/cartoon film or television series that is horror, which you'd recommend

I'm going with a little known Tim Burton film that hasn't been selected to date...

I saw it, I just can't remember it. Which may well be why it hasn't been selected to date.

Hotel Transylvania , very silly.

I've seen that one - I think. The one with Adam Sandler. Very silly, is right. LOL!

For a silly movie, there's a lot of talent behind the camera. Director Genndy Tartakovsky was the creative force behind Samurai Jack and the Clone Wars animated series; Robert Smigel was one of best writers for SNL in the past 25 years.

You might say these guys could do better than this, but each Hotel Transylvania movie has made more money than the previous one. They know what works.

Petz and I are not the demographic for it - it's for 10-15 year old boys. And there's a lot of parents with 10-15 year old boys. I found it unwatchable - but it was made for a 10 year old boy or girl. Not me.

Also - a side comment? Popularity doesn't necessarily equate good. Nor does money equate good or talent or anything else. Things are successful for weird reasons that often have nothing to do with quality.

History has kind of proven that. Most best-sellers disappear and go out of print. (Look at the NY Times Best-seller list or the popular movies at various times in history. Most I've never heard of.) While many books that fell below the radar and didn't sell at the time of their publication for whatever reason - are major hits now. Austen wasn't a best-selling novelist, she struggled, she wasn't that popular. The ones who were? We've never heard of.
