Date: 2020-10-20 02:21 am (UTC)It's not quite as smart and sophisticated as Coraline (Gaiman is hard to beat as source material); it feels like Goonies, with ghosts instead of pirates. But the movie gains power towards the end, and it really is beautifully made.

Gotta draw the line somewhere. I also refuse to get CBS All Access and HBO Max. Although I may at some point trade up from HBO Now to HBO Max.
Agreed - Gaiman is hard to beat.
