Day #13 of the 60 Days of Gratitude Challenge

This is Day #13 of the 60 Days of Gratitude Challenge.

The prompt is Season of the year that you are most grateful for.

Easy, Spring.

I'm not sure I need to explain why.

It's a season of renewal, rebirth, and second chances. Of re-awakenings. And beginnings. I feel I can start again in the Spring. Plus mild temperatures, usually 50s,60s, and 70s. Or 60-s and 70-s.

Longer days. More sunlight. And we're over the hump of the stressful fall and winter holiday period.

OR I'll just post a picture.

I daresay spring next year is going to seem more welcome than ever.

Yep - well, assuming we get the vaccine distributed. If so? I'm flying off to see my parents in South Carolina in April or May.

Spring in 2020 was just traumatizing.

ETA: Actually all of 2020 has been traumatizing. We'll all have 2020 PTSD.

Spring is nice, except 1) for unknown reasons it transitions weirdly here, especially in the last few years. Winter now runs right up until nearly May, and then you get maybe two or three weeks at best of springlike weather, but then, boom-- hot and humid and summery.

And 2) spring is abject misery for me because of allergies.

So, I've voting for fall. That has allergies too, but nothing like the spring for me. And visually, it's... well, I'd post a picture or two, but can't right now, DW uploads not working. (I will when I can, got a particularly stunning one just last week).

Now, now...the way this meme works is you just tell me why you like fall. I don't need to know why you don't like spring. ;-)

I'll let it go this once. But as I told trepkos on another entry - no negativity on the gratitude meme - or at least try to avoid it.

That said, my allergies flare up during the fall and the spring. (I'm allergic to dust, mold, tree pollan, ragweed, cats, dogs, cockroach shells, and feathers apparently. But not quite severe enough to warrant shots, also if I avoid the dogs, cats, and eliminate cockroaches, feathers...)

I was really suffering this summer. Spring wasn't as bad. Winter was the worst. My allergies always flare up between August and March. The radiators often will do me in.
In Spring and Summer - I can turn the a/c on and that kind of kills the allergens in the air for the most part.
