1. Your main fandom of the year?

General Hospital (I was on GH FB but I've migrated to the snarkier Soap Twittter)

2. Your favorite film watched this year?

I don't think I have one? Maybe Free Guy? I did like Black Widow and The Power of the Dog (which sticks with me still). [I've not seen West Side Story or Spiderman.]

3. Your favorite book read this year?

I listened to more books than read. I'm going with Amore Torres "A Gentleman in Moscow" as the favorite fictional book that I read/listened to. And the Robert Altman biography as my favorite non-fictional read/listen.

4. Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?

I listen to music all day long so it tends to blur together...but this kind of stuck out... Working Class Hero by John Lennon

5. Your favorite TV show of the year?

Uhm, General Hospital? Although, I did also love Hawkeye, Wanda Vision, Smoke & Bone, Falcon & Winter Solider and oh almost forgot, Superman & Lois rocked.

6. Your favorite LJ community of the year?

common nature - I like the pictures.

7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year?

Superman & Lois - rocked. And Zack Snyder's Justice League surprised me. (I don't tend to like Snyder.) So Superman.

8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?

Cowboy Bepob Live Action. So too was Wheel of Time, which I watched all of. And god, Foundation.

But the biggest? The X-men comics...which I'm thisclose to giving up on again. Also the Nixon Falls fallout on General Hospital - with Sonny's return - god that was awful, even for a soap.

9. Your fandom boyfriend of the year?

Tyler Hoechler's innovative take on Superman. Also Valentine Cassadine (General Hospital)

10. Your fandom girlfriend of the year?

Anna Devane (General Hospital), Yelena (Black Widow), Kate Bishop (Hawkeye)

11. Your biggest squee moment of the year?

Anna and Valentine's first kiss and team up on GH. Yelena kicking Natasha's butt. Kate Bishop kicking Kingpin's butt.

Oh, and Paul McCartney discovering the ditty Get Back in Peter Jackson's Documentary.

12. The most missed of your old fandoms?

Sigh. Buffy.

13. The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?

Star Trek Discovery?

14. Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?

The Netflix version of Sandman. Witcher S2, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Ms. Marvel, Naomi, Wakanda Forever, Book of Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi, Bridgerton S2....and if I can get myself to see them: SIX and The Music Man with Hugh Jackman & Sutton Foster.

Plus General Hospital doing more with Valentine/Anna and Spencer/Trina.

Now, if I can just figure out when it is available for streaming. I won't see it in the theaters. Wanted to with mother - but wasn't possible.

I wouldn't think you'd have a problem seeing it in a theatre since when I went there were only six other people besides the two of us.

And right now, the discussion is that it might go first to Disney+ and then to HBOMax as HBOMax made an agreement with 20th Century Fox before Disney bought them out.

Keep in mind I live in NYC. There will be 100 people in the theater. Also, I can't get rid of my cough for some reason - it pops up every once and a while.

I'm waiting for it to come to Disney + or HBO Max - the internet thinks it will be released on streaming by the end of January. Maybe premium on Disney + and simulataneously on HBO Max. I want it on Disney - so my mother can see it. She loves West Side Story even more than I do. She fell in love with Bernardo in the first version - in the movie theater.

Prefacing to say that I have not watched Cowboy BeBop myself but a friend loved the Netflix series but she has not seen the anime. I already suggested she watch it, but I wondered if you knew how they compare?

Haven't watched it, but I know it was cancelled out of the box - no second season. So I'm hesitant.
Friends who saw both said that the anime is tighter, less drug out, and the hacker is introduced earlier.
