Well, I'm having a bad television weekend.

Latest? "The School of Good and Evil" - on Netflix. And honestly, that was my own fault. It's not like it pretended to be anything other than a somewhat campy high school morality tale.

Netflix has one too many of these shows.

Before that I completed She-Hulk: Attorney at Law - which was a touch too meta for my taste. I felt as if the writer was writing her disagreement with Disney into the show - possibly was, and Fiege thought it was funny and went along with it? I found it annoying.

On the bright side? No real side-effects from the shots.

I don't know what I'm going to try next. Thought about a re-watch of the Two Towers and Return of the King - but the warfare was boring me in the Two Towers. (I don't find watching people fight at night, in armor, and mud, all that entertaining for some reason or other.)

Any suggestions?

My daughter informs me that the book of "The School of Good and Evil" is excellent and that the movie is a travesty. :)

Have you seen Derry Girls? I can't remember if you mentioned it before. The latest season is available and is just as funny so far as the first two.

I just finished rewatching The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I agree with you about the warfare, esp. in the second movie--it wears on my nerves--but I am happy I did. All in all, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The themes resonated with me even more than they had the first time around. The soundtrack was pretty bad--and I don't think it was my TV because everything else sounds fine. Maybe it was the print they used to broadcast it on cable (I dvr'd it).

I also rewatched Emma, the movie version from 2020. It's not as good as the novel but it was very funny and very entertaining. I'm starting on the book next (for my book group).

I'm watching NCIS for the first time (in an odd coincidence, so is my therapist). An old-fashioned CBS procedural and I'm loving it. I just finished season four so I have a long way to go. After that, maybe I'll go back to ER.
