1. What did you do in 2022 that you'd never done before?
Taught myself how to merge files in adobe acrobat. And stuck a sensor on my arm to sense glucose levels. Lost my father.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't make any for 2022. Am making a few for 2023. Feel more positive about 2023, than I've felt for anything prior to it in the 20s.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes. My Dad and my cousin.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2023 that you lacked in 2022?
Art. Theater. Cultural activities. Also, some leisure travel would be nice.
7. What date from 2022 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 11, 2022 - my Dad died.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Seriously this year was a blur...but I'd say ensuring no idiotic manager forces me to be on camera next year. Also awarding the project from hell, along with three other projects. But mainly? Surviving with my sanity intact.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Losing track of my health, and giving into food as a coping mechanism. Let stress and anger get the better of me on one too many occasions.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes. COVID - had it in the spring, fairly mild, but did pack a wallop. Bad Respiratory Virus in the fall. Type 2 Diabetes kicked in.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Hmm. I don't know. Nothing really stands out at the moment.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Babs who stood by me and insisted I fight for my rights, and go to the union and not just cave or quit. On a national/international front? I've had a total news blockage. But I thought Nancy Pelosi hung in there well. Also Liz Cheney standing up to her own party - that took guts.
Boss for trying to help me - and stepping in with current management.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Sigh. The GOP. The heads of my crazy organization. My management. Jay and BYT for getting obsessed with forcing people to be on camera during teams meetings.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Sigh. Clothes! I have gone a bit mad. Although I did need new jackets, and shirts, and pants, so there's that.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
It's not been that sort of year? Some television shows, maybe? The year lacked excitement.
16. What song will always remind you of 2022?
Running up that hill by Kate Bush
Also..
Don't Give Up by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

Visited Momma in South Carolina.
21. How will you be spending New Year’s Eve?
Home. May have a friend over on New Year's Day.
22. Did you fall in love in 2022?
No.
23. How many one-night stands?
No - not my thing. The appeal is completely lost on me. Plus, kind of dangerous.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Hmmm...I don't know if I have one? I like General Hospital, not a favorite though. Rings of Power was good. Wednesday stood out. Bridgerton was fun. I liked Andor.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I'm working on not hating anyone at the moment. Bad mojo.
26. What was the best book you read?
Uhm, listened to? The Robert Altman biography was interesting. Was that last year? Can't remember. I did enjoy Project Hail Mary - in that I can still remember it. Also enjoying Born a Crime by Trevor Noah (on audio).

Clothes, sound system, raise.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Can't remember. I'm 55.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
General Hospital killing off Nina? DJT biting the big one, along with Putin. The Democrats winning the mid-terms across the board?

Mom, Wales, Extended family, online correspondence and coworkers.

My Dad.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Fran - who I already new, but came back into my life, and Ali the lawyer.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2022.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't argue over trivalities online or off. And put my work in the rear-view mirror once I leave it.
Family is important. Be kind always. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is if we were kind. Everything else is cannon fodder.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be runnin' up that road
Be runnin' up that hill
Be runnin' up that buildin'
Say, if I only could, oh
