Ah...I have 37 pages (1.5 spaced, not quite double, not single - that happy in between, yes, I know if I want to publish the thing, I'll have to probably do the double eventually. But it is friggin hard to write on a computer screen with wide spaces and see what you are doing. Also the net has given me bad habits - I've gotten lazy spacing and formatting wise. Here you can just write blithly without pressing the enter button and there is no such thing as double space. Unless you're a fan of html formatting - and that's a whole different ballgame.) The story has a title, which is a good thing. It's snarky too, which may explain the tone of voice you see in these entries after I've spent time working on it.

Snarky day outside too. Weather can't make up it's mind. It's sunny yet has threatening dark gray cloud cover, no blue that I can see. Sort of chilly, like sitting in a room that is over-airconditioned. Not cold. Just chilly.
Made me want to lie in bed all morning long. Didn't. Drug myself out and wrote.
Like a good girl.

Considering dragging myself off to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Glaxay at the local theater. Made the decision not to see the flick with anyone who is a fan of the book or tv series or radio series. Don't want to spend the whole movie listening to them moan beside me or mouth bits along with the show. Wales might be a safe bet on this one - assuming she's up and about. Regarding the Serenity flick - please keep all spoilers and reviews to yourselves. I don't want to know anything until I see it. Fresne's post basically told me everything I wanted to know about it - ie. It's worth the price of admission and a definite movie to see.

Debating doing the interest compatibility meme I've been threatening - but I have a feeling I'd just piss off half my flist. So better not.

I know what you mean about double spacing. I usually work in 1 1/2 and reformat before sending things anywhere. Even when I print out for myself to do edits (it helps battle my dyslexia a lot to see my writing in a different format), I like 1 1/2 spacing better. It's not so wasteful.

That's exactly it. When I do the double - I completely lose my sightline, my eyes just see the spaces and the words blur. But at 1 and 1/2 or 1.5, it's perfect. Actually I prefer the single spacing that I've been writing on the net, but trying to reformat that after 100 pages is impossible. (I did it after 30 and it took me half an hour.)

The dyslexia - is a pain in the butt. Not sure if you've had a similar experience - but, the dyslexia has made me more careful or detail-oriented. I'm a stickler for details that others may overlook. Double-check and triple check things in my writing. Also do not take for granted the fact that I have to work at it constantly.

My problem even posting on the net is if I know what it's supposed to say, that's what I see. For my fiction unless I print it out, I have to wait a few weeks to edit. Triple checking is a necessity and for me sometimes not enough.

Of course, if someone was a fan of the book and tv series and radio series, they'd know Adams wasn't consistent with them, so why would the movie be?

True. But that would be logical, and people , sigh, aren't. ;-)
(Already seen a few rants online about it not being consistent and how such and such was better - when the person has seen all three. Wondering if emotional reactions to art circumvent the logical sections of the brain.)
