Well, I made it through 400 pages of the Marketing book. Now I just have to somehow retain the information so I can parrot it back in some organized manner on a test. Remembering why I dislike school - tests. Bad at tests. Unless they are essay tests, which this one is decidely not. No, it has the dreaded multiple choice section. Being dyselxic, multiple choice and I do not get along. Oh well, it's doubtful it's computerized, so I should be fine. I can compensate pretty well as long as I don't have to fill in little circles on a computer answer sheet - the transfer of the answer to the sheet, invariably causes me to skip down a line and fill in something other than the letter I intended. Computerized testing is evil.

Re-thinking the challenge idea. Don't really have the time or energy right now to write another essay. Also feeling a little burnt on the whole essay writing thing. Besides I think I got a little carried away on the last one - making fun of footnotes and all that. Although - I am a little proud of the fact that such a wide cross-section of character shippers have requested my essays. Shameless bragging and boasting continues : Read more... ) Okay done bragging and boasting now.

Hellbound...what to say about Hellbound? I really enjoyed it. I was spoiled slightly on it. So no real surprises. That said, where was the dang dress? Spike was supposed to be in a dress! Ugh! Those wimps. I'd have put him in a dress. It would have been interesting and a great metaphor and so much more effective. Oh well. I posted more insightful thoughts on ATPO and Angel After Spike in response to other people's posts. May wait a while to post more on that, maybe after I've re-watched the episode? My ratings for ATS 5 so far and other incoherent ramblings which for some reason I feel like posting in a public journal... Read more... )

You are Form 0, Phoenix: The Eternal.

"And The Phoenix's cycle had reached
zenith, so he consumed himself in fire. He
emerged from his own ashes, to be forever
immortal."

Some examples of the Phoenix Form are Quetzalcoatl
(Aztec), Shiva (Indian), and Ra-Atum
(Egyptian).
The Phoenix is associated with the concept of life,
the number 0, and the element of fire.
His sign is the eclipsed sun.

As a member of Form 0, you are a determined
individual. You tend to keep your sense of
optomism, even through tough times and have a
positive outlook on most situations. You have
a way of looking at going through life as a
journey that you can constantly learn from.
Phoenixes are the best friends to have because
they cheer people up easily.

Which Mythological Form Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Odd, not feeling like a Phoenix at the moment. Quizzes are interesting. But are they accurate? May depend on how accurate our own responses to the questions are - ie. our results are more indicative of how we view ourselves?

You will be sucked dry by a leech. I'd stay away
from swimming holes, and stick to good old
cement. Even if it does hurt like hell when
your toe scrapes the bottom.

What horrible Edward Gorey Death will you die?
brought to you by Quizilla

Okay that one is just weird. I got two results actually, did it twice, the other was "you will be smothered by a rug, due to being anti-social, and might want to work on your social skills by making prank phone calls." Heh. I love Edward Gorey. Bro gave me a collection of Edward Gorey illustrations in a coffee table book for Christmas one year.

Not a great week. Have managed to accomplish next to nothing and it's almost the end of October. Feeling very snarky and desperate. So have co-opted one of D'H's political icons - anything for the cause, you know.
