Sick....

Yep I am sick. Reached Thursday, the coughing began, and I finally accepted the fact that this time around it was definitely not allergies -nope, it's another bloody head cold. The real deal-cough, some chills, runny nose, and fatigue. Ugh. So I basically lay around like a slug today, watching tv, napping, sipping tea and water, reading Wicked, and coughing. Went out and stocked up on more kleenex, cough medicine and soup. Told myself not to feel too guilty for doing zip since if I were employed I probably would have called in sick. Also stayed offline most of today and yesterday.

Feeling a little better tonight. So maybe will be well enough tomorrow - to venture out and meet my friend J at the local Japanese restaurant for miso soup and sushi. Yes, I'm one of those strange people who likes raw tuna wrapped in seaweed with rice.

Well, it's been confirmed on three sites:
zapzit.com, WB, and Herc's ainitcoolnews - WB has cancelled ATS. We'll still get all 22 episodes of this season. We just won't get a Season 6. ie. It's not being renewed.

People are currently signing a petition to save the series or keep it from being cancelled. If interested?

Well that was the mature, adult response. Sigh. I've wandered the boards and it doesn't look good. Bronze Beta and David Fury apparently state a fan campaign won't work this time, that WB had made their decision. What annoys me the most is the crappy shows that WB did renew. I also feel this urge to throw meats and vegetables at US viewers with Neilsen boxes who watch The OC instead of ATS. Although I'm pretty sure the OC had zip to do with it. What probably got ATS cancelled is this new trend in "family-oriented dramas" - which everyone is doing right now. ATS was the only show in WB's lineup that didn't hit that, which is one of the reasons I loved it so much. Why people feel the need to copy each other, I'll never understand. It happens in publishing. It happens in Fashion.
True art - is something that stands out from the crowd and isn't a carbon copy.

Ugh, feeling a sense of inertia tonight - combination of having no control over my body, my employment situation, and now entertainment choices being limited. It will pass. These things always do. But really annoyed right now. Want to throw vegetables and meats at people.
