1. Musk is going to change Twitter from the Bird Logo to the "X" logo. Someone needs to fire Musk's marketing firm. They are giving him bad advice.
I'll leave Twitter once he does that. Which I guess is on Monday?
I won't miss Twitter that much. I'm getting tired of the misogynistic posts folks keep retweeting with outrage. (I don't want to see this stuff folks, please stop showing it to me.) The latest? (Because if I have to see it, so do you.) Apparently in India they are parading women through the streets naked and gang raping them? There wasn't a link, just a question from a Brit musician as to why there hadn't been more backlash against India, and what kind of society does this? My response? One that isn't worth saving.
Twitter is not a healthy platform. I should leave it.
I'm mostly on it now for the subway alerts (but I get those via In Transit), and Soap Twitter (spoilers) but I can get the spoilers via FB.
And Soap Twitter is starting to annoy me - it is embarrassing itself. Also, I think a lot of people on it are nuts. They are arguing over whether or not a character should be allowed to take over her mother's restaurant.
Shame - Twitter was once a decent place for information. I don't really think there is anything that's taken its place. Blue Sky is exclusive and in beta testing (so it's just a private chat room), Threads (has tracking software that tracks what you like and fires ads at you), Mastodone - is a lot of little private chat rooms, Spoutible - is hard to use.
Oh well. I was happy without all of this stuff.
RIP Twitter.
2. Have a bad case of the Sunday Scaries, nerves.
Work stress. Enough said.
3. Really enjoying The Dragon Prince: Mystery of Aravos - I'm on S4 now. It's 9 episodes per season, and S5 just dropped. On Netflix.
Also watching the Legend of VOX, and Night Agent. (Wales told me she didn't like the Night Agent, and it made her angry, I've no clue why. I don't want to know.)
4. I seem to have hit a wall myself creative wise. My art isn't thrilling me at the moment. And I'm struggling with book revisions, or writing at all. I also feel as if I have no time to do anything I enjoy. This work/life balance thing I'm struggling with. I wish my family lived closer to me - and I could spend more time with them. But they are far away. The closest is the one I struggle with the most - my brother. And even he's about three-four hours away by trains. (To see him I have to take a subway, a train, and a car).
