Jun. 23rd, 2010 12:46 pmHee. Shipperx is now doing Farscape metas. So, I'm not the only one on flist who is rewatching? Cool.
Watched a fascinating commentary on "Crackers Don't Matter" last night that was basically an actress interviewing her director and the director interviewing his actress. Claudia Black and Ian Watson - two veterans of film, stage and screen - were interviewing each other on the process and what challenges tv actors and director undertake. During the interview - Watson stated some fairly good advice for all of us:
"As my Dad used to say - Never Argue with Anyone Who Thinks They Are Right".
(Yep.)
Watson also stated that it is important for actors to feel relaxed on the set.
That the directors job is to set that tone. To provide them with the space and freedom to be in the moment they are attempting to create. Acting, as Claudia Black, stated, is about reacting. Listening. You need to listen.
Ugh. No time. Off to walk around Rufus Park if not too hot, chocolat back to work.
