Ringer Review...yes I'm still watching. No clue why. But there it is.

A bit behind on my television reviewing. Actually behind on a lot of things. Balmy day...in the 60s, in February. Not complaining. Lovely walk around the park at lunch. Included a five minute bench sit. I just hope it's this nice tomorrow when I have to hop about Long Island on a four-five hour site tour, exploring railroad substations. Last time I did this it was pouring and freezing. Really would prefer not to have a repeat. There's nothing worse than trudging around substations outside in uncomfortable safety work boots while it is pouring. It's going to be in the 40s tomorrow...which isn't bad, I guess, but I would have preferred the 50s for the site tour.

Just watched Ringer which has got to be the worst written television series that I've watched in years. It's so bad, it's unintentionally hilarious in places. Yes, folks, it actually is worse than the daytime soap operas. The show makes no sense. Not that many daytime soaps do, but they make more sense than this thing does. Talk about things that take you out of the story? Where to start? I honestly don't know why I'm still tuning in. Or why I watched it instead of Dowton Abbey or Justified tonight. Mindless entertainment? Bad taste? Take your pick. Or just plain curiousity...I want to see how silly it gets. Also, I want to know what the heck Siobhan is doing and more importantly why.

Dowton Abbey S2 - this week's episode

Is it just me or is Dowton Abbey not as good this season as last? The story threads feel more labored and contrived somehow..filled with manipulative war story cliches...
