Watched the first three episodes of the new Sutton Foster/Darren Star comedy, Younger on TV Land, per a co-worker's recommendation. (It was believe it or not a male co-worker who rec'd it. He's the one who is friends with Seinfield, but doesn't like the tv show Seinfield, preferred Sex in the City.)

It's okay. I liked the pilot, which had some funny lines. It's about a 40 year old divorcee (well on the cusp of a divorce, they are too broke to afford the lawyers in order to actually get the divorce), who with the help of her best friend, who happens to be a lesbian (Debi Mazer) - poses as a 26 year old in order to get hired as an assistant marketing rep at a publishing firm. She moves in with her artist lesbian best friend in Brooklyn, from a New Jersey suburb. Meanwhile her 20 something daughter is traveling around Mumbai, India. She's flirting with and dating a 22 year old tattoo artist. Oh and she calls her Vagina, Frieda. I never understood the naming of body parts. But then I didn't understand the naming of stuffed animals. [I can't seem to get away from Vagina humor. On Facebook there's a video of a man describing a Vagina. And this series has various Vagina jokes.]

Liza gets the idea to pose as a 26 year old, after being mistaken for one at a bar. She looks like she could be 26. (Actually, I'd say she passes for 36, although I have met quite a few 20-30 year olds who looked like they were in their 30s,40s and 50s. You really can't tell how old someone is without looking at their birth date. I got carded up until the age of 40. Although when I was a teenager, I didn't get carded, because I was 6 foot. I know, it made no sense to me neither.) In TV Land people in their 20s play teenagers, and people in their 30s and 40s play 20 year olds. It's hilarious. Nicholas Brendan is two years younger than me. And, when he was performing on Buffy? I was 28. So we had a 26 year old playing a 16 year old.)

Besides Vaginas, the series in no particular order pokes fun at the publishing industry, evil marketing people, social media, and hipsters living it up in Brooklyn. (Although it looks like Brooklyn by way of Vancouver, or LA - however at the moment, most of the people in Brooklyn look like they moved here from LA.)

There's one line about how "everyone is moving to Brooklyn" - wherein I thought, yes, dang-it, go home! Back to New Jersey. Manhattan. And LA. Here I'll help you pack.
Getting crowded.

It's a beautiful day today. A walk around the park is called for. Definitely. I'm attempting to wean myself off chocolate. So far only managed to wean myself off of apples dipped in chocolate, mainly because I didn't buy any more. But this didn't stop me, I had half of an organic, 70% dark chocolate bar.
