May. 4th, 2015 10:23 pm1. Books: Hmmm...The Locus Sci-Fantasy Ballot has been announced:

It's actually more interesting than the Hugo Ballot. And notable for the fact that three of the five Hugo nominated books are on the Best Novel list: Goblin Emperor, Three Body Problem, and Ancillary Sword.
I may ignore the HUGO's and just explore the books on that list. Recommend others do the same. No crazy people involved.
In other book news, I need to figure out how to set up an "Author's Page" on Good Reads.
Can't decide if I should wait until the Book is actually published to do it. I'm already on Good Reads, so shouldn't be that hard. Once I do, I may start a book blog on it. And just cross-post entries from here.
2. Television:
* Outlander - relatively similar to the books. Although, a whole lot tighter, also more active. They change things which drug or bogged down the story. Claire also is more "active" in the television series and less "passive". Both characters are a heck of a lot more likable. I didn't like them all that much in the books, but here I do.

Well, it keeps surprising me, I'll say that much. Did not expect the plot to go in that direction.

Good Wife -- last night's episode is the best that I've seen in a while. Hmm, they appear to be rebooting the series again. Sort of needs to be rebooted.
