1. Still enjoying Lucifer quite a bit with ...a few quibbles. I'm not sure I like the fact that he's becoming mortal and human so rapidly. Also, what's the fun...if he doesn't still have whatever it is that makes him a fallen Angel?

The Christian mythology isn't as heavy handed as it usually is, most likely because this is by way of Neil Gaiman, who waters it down a notch.

The humor is what's working for me, and the casting. As long as it doesn't fall too much into the procedural slot.

The last episode, Wingman disappointed me a little. spoilers )

2. I'm still in a bit of a reading slump. Methinks I've burned out on romance novels finally and require something with a bit more action? Maybe after this book, I'll try the Traitor Baro Commorant again...or Ancillary Justice. OR Daniel Silva's The Kill Artist. Or Lev Grossman's The Magicians. It's not like I don't have a lot of books to choose from.

3. Tomorrow is my birthday. Just one year shy...of a big one. A really big birthday. The sort people have a tendency to have big parties around and plan huge trips. Which is...next year, thank heavens.
But it makes me feel...a bit wheezy. Also, while I may not look my age... (people are always shocked when I tell them how old I am and this has been going on for the last 20 years now, making me wonder what people think my age is supposed to resemble? When I look in the mirror, I think I look my age. Folks? It's all in the DNA. Also, it helps if you don't smoke and dislike heavy-duty sunbathing), I definitely feel my age or my body does.

Have I accomplished anything? Am I doing what I'm supposed to be doing? Did I do everything wrong? Will I ever meet the love of my life? (probably not with that attitude) How did I get here anyhow? Ugh. My mid-life crisis should be over by now, right?

Never mind, this post is brought to you by the early onset of menopause.

Decided to try massage therapy. A 75 minute Shiatsu Massage is scheduled for 2pm Wed. And after Wed, I'm going to attempt to go off sugar.

Also flirting with The Robber Bridegroom, a new bluegrass off-Broadway musical at the Roundabout theater company. I might attempt it on Friday or around Easter. Not sure yet.

Oh, and for dinner? Bought Rainbow Trout, had Salmon tonight. The Trout will most likely be baked with bacon, some lemon, garlic, and dill...maybe mustard, but haven't decided.

It's supposed to be in the 70s...so if I feel up to it, I may take a walk in the park in the morning.
Or in Greenwood Cemetary. Leg has been bugging me though, so will play by ear. If need be, I'll just walk to Ditmas Corner, and have lunch at Mimi's.
