1. Anybody else tired of the seemingly endless and somewhat farcical United States Presidential Election? I swear, if I don't see another newspaper headline, facebook post, etc about it...that said, it was admittedly interesting to discover a leading Arizona newspaper had endorsed Clinton. Keep in mind - Arizona is a bit like Kansas, it never votes Democrat.

I just wish the whole thing was over, so I could stop worrying about it. If Hillary wins, it will be life as usual. If Trump wins...we're doomed and I may need to figure out how to get off planet earth.
Apparently some billionaire wants to colonize Mars? So that's a possibility. I'd prefer it if he just shipped Trump to Pluto. I'd almost be willing to chip in.

2. Elton Musk to colonize space - launches a plan to send people to Mars - timely article for the other sci-fi novel that I'm writing, about a future where corporations and billionaires like Musk genetically enhanced humans to colonize space.

3. Watched Once Upon a Time and...I don't know, feels a bit like the writers are recycling story lines. Still character centric and still feels like watching some weird mish-mash of cross-over fanfic or crack fic. Hyde is rather interesting. But apparently the Alice spin-off ceases to exist, because they are bringing in Aladdin and Jafar, as if their story was never told in the Wonderland spin-off.

4. Commute was a nightmare -- got home later, as a result missed UPS, and have to pick up my package at some deli somewhere on Church. The F train got stalled at Bergen Street in Brooklyn. I was at West 4th when I found out. I'd been on a nice F train, with newer seats, lots of space, comfy, when they told me it was going on the D line to Coney Island. So I hopped off with a bunch of other people to grab an F. We waited. Garbled messages on the loud-speaker. People going up in mass to the A/C trains. Waited. Finally: "Due to an F train being stalled at Bergen Street, there are no F trains running to Jay St/Metro Tech and beyond in Brooklyn. For service go to..." I hopped on a B, stood for a while, until we began to go over the Manhattan Bridge - nice view of the Brooklyn Bridge and the water by the way. Found a map and finally another seat. Checked smartphone for upcoming stations and where I could switch to the Q. Got off at Church. Switched to the Q. Got off at Beverly.
Then had to walk the 10-20 blocks home, about twenty minutes, and my leg was bothering me. Same one - the right one. I call it sugar leg -- although it also acts up with arthritis - due to the arthritis in my spine. I'd planned to go grocery shopping but that's clear on the other side -- or a ten minute walk/ .08 mile via the F, but a 45 minute walk/ 4 mile via the Q. The other option was the Coop Grocery Store, but I knew it was going to rain and at that point I just wanted to get home, call the mother, do yoga and meditate.
