Sep. 14th, 2018 09:05 pmME: Well there's a spoiler on GH Spoiler Board that I read which makes no sense.
Mother: What?
Me: One long-term character is killed by Ryan. It is not an all day character.
Mother: So it would be a recurring character?
Me: That's what I thought, but the moderator told me that I read her spoiler wrong.
Mother: Huh?
Me: Apparently it's not all the day characters.
Mother: So they aren't killing off all the characters on the show?
Me: She also said it wasn't any of the off-screen characters.
Mother: Okaay...
Me: See, makes no sense. Why did she feel the need to tell us it wasn't all the characters?
Here's the convoluted discussion.
Sigh. Soap Operas.
Whenever they get bored of their characters or want to get rid of some actors and cut costs, they bring back a serial killer to go on a killing spree. Kill a few off. Shake things up. Get rid of the serial killer. And go back to business as usual. In the mean time they try to tease the audience about who will get killed but not reveal anything, hoping to shock them or surprise them.
Dear soap opera writers? I'm shock-proof. I've watched better shows than yours who pulled the same crap. *cough*JossWhedon*cough*. Also you have been doing this for over fifty years...after a while the audience catches on. You kill off major characters then bring them back two years later.
Surprise me by not killing anyone off. Or killing off a character I don't like and would like to see the back of...like say Ava and Julian?
Nah, it'll be a nice character. Serial killers don't kill nasty characters.

Me: Can’t be Kiki or Maxie - both are all day players. Has to be a recurring or part timer and “a long time” character. So not Amy, Valerie, Epithany... But Olivia, Bobby, Felicia, Lucy, and Monica are all possible. I don’t see it being Molly or Kristina.
Moderator: the spoiler said a major character gets killed, not just "day players"
Its not necessarily a recurring character
It's very possible it's Kiki.
ME: It said a non all day player. Doesn’t that mean only recurring?
I read it again. It says “It won’t be all day players”. Two ways to read it. 1) it won’t be all the day players. ( which makes no sense) or 2) it won’t be all-day players ( which per their pay contract T&Cs means characters off-contract, recurring or part time).
Moderator who posted the misleading spoiler and is trying to cover her ass:I understand but I am explaining I wrote it the wrong way.....It does make sense that it's not all day players b/c Hornsby was killing people we didn't even know when he had his killing spree. Sabrina was the only one we knew. the others were patients that came in the hospital....
Me: You just lost me. To clarify- its not people off-screen or unknown?
Moderator: There will be more than one death. Unlike Paul Hornsby's killing spree (which was mostly people we didn't know, just patients in the hospital, off screen) there will be some of those but not ALL, There is going to be a major long term character. Doesn't matter if that long term character is contract or recurring (like you were saying in previous comments) that doesn't make them "safe" - It's VERY possible Kiki is the one
Lulu & Laura I know for sure are NOT dying.....
Me:So they aren't killing "all" the characters? LOL! Although that would be an interesting trick to pull off...but good to know.
