Sep. 19th, 2018 08:26 pm1. Uhm...okay, we now have Marble Runs...which are basically races held with you guessed it, marbles. Some people just have too much time on their hands.
2. Watching the pilot of You - a new Lifetime series starring Penn Bradely (he plays the stalker), by the writers of Gossip Girl and Arrow, Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti. It's creepy. It's on Lifetime. And it's about a stalker/possible serial killer who meets a pretty twenty-something college student/yoga teacher wannabe writer in a book store. Then finds her on social media, and starts following her -- and literally goes down the social media rabbit hole researching her life. (This is possible if you put your entire life on social media, and make it all public). And since she's idiotically made her "entire" life public on social media, he knows EVERYTHING about her. Plus she has a first floor apartment, no curtains, and windows looking out on the street -- he can see everything, including what she does in her bedroom. Once he acquires her phone...he slowly takes over her life. Starting with taking her boyfriend captive and holding him prisoner in his basement.
It's also boring. I don't care about any of these people. And I wanted to smack the girl upside the head halfway in. You know there's a problem when the only half-way watchable character is the stalker.
I may just be the wrong demographic for it.
Deleted and gone from the DVR. Sigh. Entertainment Weekly put it on its MUST LIST. I'm beginning to question EW's taste or rather EW's television critics taste.
3. Discussion with co-worker aka Lando 2 (the much younger version, think Daniel Glover) from Huntsville, Alabama. He's going home for a funeral.
OTher Co-workers: Are You Driving.
Lando 2: Eh, no. It's 14 hours. Faster and cheaper to fly. If I had kids, maybe.
Me: Really? They really asked this? Then again not surprised. When I had to go to Missouri for a funeral, people asked the same thing. Also when I visited Seattle recently. I said, Really?
Lando 2 (looks up mileage on the internet): It's about 15- 20 hours to Missouri from here, so not so doable.
Me: I-95 is impassable do to flooding -- there is no way you could get there by driving to Alabama.
Although I'm guessing some people just really like to drive.
Lando 2: I don't like to drive.
Me: Me Neither. That's why I live here. If I liked to drive, I'd live somewhere like Montana, not here.
4. Feel better today, low pressure system has lifted, no longer feel like the sky is pushing my bones into the earth.
