Too many frigging tv shows to even contemplate. I scrolled through the list and went, uhm, okay, there's a lot of television shows on isn't there? No wonder I keep losing track of them.

[Also as an aside -- the shows popping up in the Winter and Spring are far more interesting now than the ones that pop up in the Fall. Weird.]

* Netflix Release Dates in 2019 -- since it's Radio Times, it may be for the UK version, although some of these should appear in the US concurrently -- since they are US shows.

* 40 Most Anticipated TV Shows in 2019 according to Rolling Stone's critics

[Note the critics like a lot of television series, I personally find unwatchable - I don't know why television critics like misanthropic and or humiliation centric situation comedies, but they do. So I ignored those. Also ignored darkly violent shows like the Punisher and Jessica Jones (which I've lost interest in), and anything on Starz, Showtime, and channels I can't get. So go to the links.]

* 2019 TV Premier Dates Calendar According to Rotten Tomatoes -- and no they don't include dates for either the Expanse or Lucifer, I know, I looked.

[In no particular order -- mainly because I've figured out that I don't like putting an order to things on lists or otherwise. I always misfile things and just shove it where it fits. I don't like to rank in anyway.]

Equire's Liste of 35 Most Anticipated films for 2019

65 of the Most Anticipated Movies via Rotten Tomatos

Biggest New Releases in 2019 according to Radio Times

Lots of sequels and reboots on this list. Making me wonder about Hollywood. Also best-selling book adaptations. Also, these a frigging lot of movies being released...I'll probably just see four of them in the theaters if that. (Captain Marvel, Vice, Dark Phoenix, and Avengers...)

A. films based on books or new ideas and/or bio pics, in other words not reboots or sequels )

B. Best Superhero Flicks Adapted from Comic Books and Graphic Novels of 2019
[Remember when Feb - April were slow months...and all the big superhero flicks came out between Memorial Day and Labor Day? Well, we can thank Black Panther for changing all of that.)

1. Dark Phoenix - February 14, 2019 (Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender..) [Although depends on which site, radio times has a June release date.]
2. Hellboy Reboot - April 12, 2019
3. Shazam - April 2019 (this is basically DC's version of Spiderman - or Spiderman meets the Tom Hank's film "Big" starring Zachery Levi.)
4. Captain Marvel - March 2019 (Brie Lawson and Sam L. Jackson and Jude Law)
5. Avengers : Endgame - April 2019 (pretty much everyone...)
6. New Mutants - April 14 [Radio Times has an August release date.]
7. Glass - M Night Shalyman starring Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Sarah Paulson - January 2019

Sigh, not shown, upcoming Spiderman movie (yes another one), Men in Black International (yes another one -- this round with Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Chris Helmsworth and Tessa..), a movie on the Joke's origins with Joquin Phoenix playing the titular role. (yes, yet another person playing the Joker and hoping to upstage Heath Ledger. Good luck with that. Not that anyone is counting but we've have had approximately six to date. The best are Heath Ledger and Mark Hamil, the worst Jack Nicholson and Jared Leto.)

C. Others...

1. Star Wars Episode IX -- this round directed by JJ Abrahams...Dec 20, 2019

2. Atremis Fowl - summer sometime

3. Dowton Abbey - Sept 2019

4. Because Beauty and the Beast and The Jungle Book did so well, we now have live action adaptations of Aladdin, Lion King and Dumbo by big name directors. (I'm holding out for a live action adaptation of the animated song fest Robin Hood...but I can't see how they'd do it.)

5. Sequels and reboots we don't need nor requested but Hollywood did anyhow...Men in Black International, Zombieland 2, It 2, Toy Story 4, Lego Movie 2, Pet Semetary, Child's Play, Grudge (because if you can't come up with a new horror flick idea, remake an old one), 47 Meters Down uncaged (see sentence before this one...and no I didn't know the original flick existed either), the Addams Family ( an animated version...because that hasn't been done before -- not being facetious, I really don't think it has been).

Sigh, there's something for everyone. Now if I just enjoyed forking over $15-16 to see a movie a bit more.

Watched the Timeless two hour movie finale and was reminded why I gave up on Timeless. It's slow. The plot doesn't work at all, holes a plenty, which is the problem I have with time travel series. Unless you are a really organized writer and willing to play by your own rules, and plot every single variable ahead of time -- with an outline for all the seasons, the story will fall apart sooner or later. It always does.

Why? Because if you pull a thread in the time-line or change one thing -- you change a million things, many of which you don't even know about. And if you keep doing it, you will either create a Butterfly-Effect of sorts or collapse the time line completely and/or - far more likely -- set up an alternate parallel time line.

That said, I realize television writers know less about physics than I do, and what I know I could fit into a thimble, so I can handwave a lot. But...this plot is a mess and the pacing couldn't be slower. [Probably doesn't help that the hook for me -- was potentially bringing Lucy's sister Amy back, I didn't care about the others. Spoiler? That doesn't happen.]

It's a very frustrating and somewhat slow show to watch. The time-travels aren't that interesting except the final one. There's a lot of talking about previous episodes and meandering over romantic relationships.

I think the writers wrote themselves into a corner and couldn't figure out a way out -- which again, always happens with time travel series. Sci-Fi is dicey when you don't know anything about physics.
So as a result, a lot of contrived things happen to wrap everything up neatly. But I found it rather boring.

Not one of the better series finales. Shame, the series had potential to start, but then it got overly convoluted with the whole conspiracy story-thread. Manifest is falling into the same hole -- the All Power Evil Organization that is manipulating everyone...gets old. I wish television writers would stop relying on this trope. It's been overdone and it's lazy writing.
