2. My niece is taking a red-cross life-saving course and going to start teaching swimming. Apparently the pool at her school is also open to the public to use. (Honestly don't know when she'll find the time -- she's taking advanced courses and has a lot of homework.)

Niece and brother are with parents at the moment. On the way down, my fourteen year old niece was stopped by the TSA and patted down twice and rather invasively, and taken to the side, because they'd found explosive substance on her hands. (It was from the chemicals in her hand cream...so be careful of hand creams.)

I've decided the romance novel I'm currently reading is meant as a parable. Either that or it's so bad it's good - and I can't put it down. (Have you read a really bad written book, but it's so outrageous and funny that you can't stop? And it's just fun? I'm giggling on the train.) ( Read more... )

What I finished reading?

This weird mercenary/scientist sci-fi novel that was selected by the Smart Bitches Book Club...and..well..it's bad. Really bad. Boring. And not fun. I was rather disappointed by it.

What I plan on reading next
