Day #306 - One Day More..
Jan. 19th, 2021 08:07 pm
Sigh.
One day more.
This is the last day with the asshole in the white house.
We'll finally evict him tomorrow.
I can't wait.
People are taking the day off - I see no point, I'm working remotely. I can turn on the television at 10 AM, and watch while working. No one will notice.
As I told mother - we have a nation filled with folks (myself included) with varying forms of PTSD.
Can I sue the GOP for giving me, and half the population - PTSD?
Neighborhood FB told people to open their windows and doors and make some noise in celebration tomorrow. ( Read more... )
Been struggling with a sinus headache all day long - made me kind of nauseous and dizzy around 1 PM, so I took meds.( Read more... )
Around 3:30 - I snuck downstairs to do laundry, which wasn't easy - the elevators were busy today.( Read more... )
Spoke to mother, who is concerned about father. ( Read more... )
Mother is due to be released from the rehab facility tomorrow. ( Read more... )
A lot is happening tomorrow. Just saying. I hope and pray nothing goes wrong. And I have no control over any of it. Just have to watch from far far away.
Mother has a ride set up via her home health care coordinator from the retirement community. And round the clock care. So should be okay. Only problem is we have COVID - so she'll have to wear a mask most of the time in her own home.
The thing in the White House is reportedly leaving tomorrow morning, with his family in tow. We're all waiting for the pardons, but they don't appear to be forthcoming. I read that he was conducting a bidding war and auctioning them off to the highest bidder, and most likely will complete it by tomorrow morning. But... he was talked out of pardoning himself, his family or anyone involved in the insurrection, which means he may not pardon anyone.( Read more... )
Mother called during the Governor's rant about the budget. He's trying to put one together, but can't until he knows what the idiotic Federal Government will do.
Mother: What's that in the background?
ME: The Governor is ranting again on television - about our idiotic Federal Government, what else?
I turned him off. He's getting repetitive.
And we have a serious vaccine shortage in our country and New York State. Although, at least they got a million people vaccinated in NY State (progress). That will help a little. At least.
I know the tide is turning, I know things will start to get better. I just have to make it through January and February, and possibly March. That's all. I feel like a marathon runner or that I'm on an endless rollercoaster ride with a billion people - and we're getting close to the end, just a few more twisty turns to go.
