Sometimes a picture says it all? If you can't see it? My apologies, no clue how to remedy it. It's a tulip peeking out between two bars shyly checking out the scene.

I identify with the tulip.

Better day today. Less brain fog. More sleep. Or something. At any rate I was able to focus today. Also got stuff down at work and around the apartment - laundry.

Laundry zen - Thursday afternoons are apparently a really good time to do laundry in my building. I had the room mostly to myself, with just one guy coming down around four-thirty to throw in a comforter and some crap. I go down around 3:26, and am usually in the dryer by around 4-4:15, then done by 5. Plus side of the pandemic - is I can do that. Prior to the pandemic, I had to wait until I got home - around 5:30, and did it then. Still a good time, but often ran into folks.

It's hard being a working woman in this world. Women and men don't like women who are tough, strong, and give orders or "bossy". Men can do it - no problem. Women? They get judged. I've picked up on this in fandoms. I'm watching a soap right now - and loving the fact that one of the main female characters is now the mob boss. She's cool, decisive, and take no prisoners.
But a lot of the women on the fan board hate her - they find her annoying an bossy, and should be put in her place.

Rant over.

I feel like I'm ranting a lot of late or whinging a lot of late. My apologies. But hey pretty pictures!

I am tired of New York at the moment.

I sent an email to the management company of my apartment, advising them that they needed to make it clear in the lease agreement that they were waiving the $15.16 per room MCI increase to rents over $1450 for the length of the tenancy, as stated in their letter received in December.
It's not clear.

I doubt most people will notice it, but I negotiate, write, manage, etc contracts for a living and have done so for over twenty years now. That's why I left Live Journal - I read the contract, and thought, uh no way in hell am I signing that. Their contract basically gave Live Journal and Russia the intellectual property rights to all of my content on Live Journal. (Russia like China has not signed the World Wide Intellectual Copyright Agreement - I can't remember the name of it. And is insane in regards to intellectual property - although China is far worse, unless they have changed in the last fifteen years, but I doubt it. I know I used to negotiate license and copyright agreements with Russian and Chinese journal publishers. Also Time wouldn't allow us to put their content on any electronic databases in China because of the Chinese copyright laws or rather the lack thereof. China is the most deregulated country in the world. Russia isn't much better.) So I deleted the journal, after I imported it to DW. Every single person who worked in intellectual property law or studied it in some manner - did the same thing for the same reasons. That should tell you something - right there.
