Year #2 - Day 80
Jun. 4th, 2021 07:42 pmWell, more and more is opening up, apparently. People are going to basketball games on the news, and a friend posted on FB that she'd gone whale-watching recently.
I actually took a walk after dinner - with and without my mask. When there were no people or very very few, I removed the mask. I partially wore it to combat the ever present nemesis of allergies.
It was lovely after the storm - slightly humid, but in the upper sixties, low seventies. With a nice breeze. Enjoy it while it lasts, right? (Tomorrow supposed to be hitting 90, same with Sunday, then it will have another storm and drop down again later in the week.)

Got my contract off to my manager for their review, prior to meeting on Monday. So weekend is blessedly free and clear of work obligations. (I'm not supposed to work weekends or evenings or outside my shift time - since I'm paid hourly under a collective bargaining agreement - but we don't exactly follow it to the letter.)
Feeling better today, outside of a little soreness in the left shoulder - most likely due to being hunched over the computer so much for work, doing pretty well. Sinuses are giving me a break, and my mood has lightened a bit.
I'm taking a news media break for the weekend. I don't want to know what everyone is doing. They can carry on without me for a bit. In a few weeks, I'll be headed back into the work place, along with all of my co-workers.
None of us are particularly happy about it. If it were up to us, we'd work from home indefinitely - I think. Even though - I admittedly have a better tech situation at work. Two huge monitors, a huge desk chair, lots more desk and shelf space, a copy machine, scanner, and printer.
But alas it is a windowless cubicle - and I will miss looking outside.
Anyhow...happy it's Friday.
Here's a picture...from my walk.
