Year 2- Day #91 - Sunny Skies..
Jun. 15th, 2021 08:12 pmThe clouds cleared, and the sun came out in more ways than one. Also tonight, New York State is hosting fireworks across the State in celebration of the Essential Workers, reaching a state wide vaccination dosage rate (for the first dose) of 70% and lessening of the COVID Restrictions.
Meanwhile, crazy company chose to change its mind regarding the "return to work policy" again.
So they sent all my co-workers back into the office today. Then, decided after everyone came back - wait a gosh darn minute, wouldn't it make more sense for everyone to come back together on July 12 and adhere to the A/B social distancing schedule?
This is after we'd all given up on them. ( Read more... )

Apparently my brother made my mother and himself pancakes tonight. She'd not had them in a while, and his daughter (aka niece) had bought pancake mix. ( family stuff )
It's odd, I feel fine tonight. Happy even. Content. Light of mood. The world isn't pressing down on me. But nothing has actually changed - externally speaking. Work is still insane, etc. Which is leading me to think that the bouts of depression are definitely hormone related and linked directly to the onset of menopause. The Cemetery has also changed in small ways - there's less trees, also different flowers.
The gate keepers no longer wear masks, even though the sign says were masks at all times. But the current rule is no masks required outside.

The state of masks in Brooklyn is kind of the same. ( Read more... )
Oh, and Bruce Springsteen is doing a limited Broadway Engagement from June 27 to September 4. Shakespeare in the Park resumes on July 7. And the July 4 fireworks will allow in person viewing. (I don't hear or see any fireworks where I am, so if they are doing them - they aren't doing them near me.)
COVID
By the numbers...
First New York and California opened today.
( per the NY Times California and New York re-open and lift restrictions )
Second.. according to the COVID Map of Doom - 2.4 billion vaccines have administered worlwide.
In the US:
311 Million vaccinated. That's pretty high, considering we have about 338 Million people.

I don't know, I think we're opening up too soon. And I didn't see any fire works or hear any. So if they had them - they weren't anywhere near me.
Here's another picture of flowers.
