Sep. 6th, 2022 08:31 pm1. So I found the The Kinsey Scale Test online - I got the idea watching HACKS which brought it up numerous times. I'm apparently "1" or "I am heterosexual with incidental homosexual tendencies on the Kinsey scale." Although how accurate a ten question quiz is on the internet is...
The reason for that? I like to socialize with men and women, have formed close attachments to men and women. I'm just not sexually attracted to any of the women I've formed the attachments to. So basically, if you are female and have a lot of close female friends, or male with a lot of close male friends - then you too are either 1 or 2 on the Kinsey Scale.

I don't write much about gay sex, as people who have read my books would know. But, oddly, I don't read a tweet like this and feel the urge to convert. Instead I read it and vaguely wish I'd actually written more about gay sex.

Me: First of all who in the frigging hell is Logos? Is it Legolas? WTF? Or is it Legos?? WTF?
[Reads comments. Ah, it's Logos and Greek for the Word of God, got it. And it apparently made no sense to anyone on the comments thread..except for two Greek scholars, one of which stated, somewhat snarkily..."Because why use English, when you can use Ancient Greek.."]

3. Still on Writer Twitter (which is a lot more fun than Political and Soap Twitter, also less toxic for the most part)...
People older than 40, please fill in the blanks. You're standing in front of a corded telephone. You pick up the reciever. There's no dialtone, so you tap the (A)_____ a couple of times to check. There's still no dialtone, so you put the receiver back in the (B)_____.
I still have one. At work and at home. I don't know what to call the thingy that you tap. It is possibly a hook? And I put the phone back in its cradle.
