Last day of being 55. Tomorrow turn 56, and begin a new year.

Museum Fun
Spent some time this evening hunting a fun activity to do this weekend - preferably not outside, and not expensive. I'm currently flirting with the Spyscape Museum - it's an interactive museum that tests your spying skills, set up by MI6. Why MI^ set up a Spy Museum in NYC, as opposed to you know, the CIA, is beyond me. Also HERE. Spyscape is also featuring an game - where you use an app to solve a crime with Batman in Gotham City. You interact with Batman and other characters, and are a central character in the mystery.
Sounds like fun. I don't think I can do it tomorrow - doing dinner with Stacy, and I have to get to the pharmacy. Plus, I want to kind of veg.
But it may be a fun thing to do on Friday.
There's no hard rule that I have to do it on my birthday. I kind of just want to take a few walks and veg on my birthday. Maybe watch a movie. Maybe paint. Maybe read comic books - I've a lot in my queue.
I already gave myself the next couple of days off as a birthday present. I'm taking Thursday, Friday, and Monday off. It's daylight savings time on Sunday, and I have the Artist's Way group on that day. So, I've plenty of time to do it.
Regarding Spyscape - you can buy tickets on site, but they recommend doing it ahead of time. And they limit the number of folks who can go into the exhibit at any one time - to about fifteen.
Did you know that there are...145 museums in NYC? Here's a current listing of all of them. I've been to roughly half.
Some are unique to NYC, such as Momath or the National Museum of Mathematics - which is the only one in the country. I don't know about the world.
COVID has affected a lot of them, and the American Museum of Finance is currently seeking a new home. But dear god, there's a lot of museums. I'm thinking of trying to check out two-three a month? I still won't get through them all.
I wanted to do the Star Wars Exhibit - but it's long gone, along with the Harry Potter. But, there is ... Wonderland Dreams - a Handpainted Immersive Experience in Alice in Wonderland.
It's not that pricey - about $39.
You can't really complain about having nothing to do in this city. I also found an interactive musical that is in a hotel and pub for about $123.
I'm just lazy and don't want to take trains and wander about. But I might take myself on an excursion on Friday. And possibly Saturday. Definitely going to church on Sunday.
