Sep. 16th, 2023 05:43 pmI got distracted with Blue Sky this morning and was almost late to my dermatologist appointment. ( Read more... )

Wales is driving me nuts again. We'll see if we're still friends by 2024. I may kick her to the curb yet. ( Read more... )

I tried Foundation again - and fell asleep during it. I think the problem may be trying to watch it during the day? Also, I'm kind of sleep deprived. I go to sleep. I wake up. I fall back. I wake up. I fall back again. I wake up.
Also working my way through Good Omens S2 - have three episodes left. It makes me laugh. I don't care about the plot. The banter between Crowley and Arizaphale is hilarious. And I have a crush on Tennant.
Whomever did the credits sequence is brilliant - I love that credits sequence.
I'm friending all these comic book artists and illustrators on Blue Sky - mainly because I adore comic book art. I do. That's why I read them. I adore illustrations. It's my favorite type of art. I like drawing and painting people - as you've no doubt figured out by now. And love anime.
Cartoons...I'm iffy about. Mainly because a lot of them are kind of similar and not that creative. I feel like the same person drew Family Guy, King of the Hill, Bojack Horseman, Daria, Rick and Morty...and personally, I prefer Chuck Jones style with the Looney Tunes. I am also not a fan of Matt Groening's style - which is the Simpsons and Disenchantment. Everyone looks the same. Art is a subjective thing.

I've been very tired lately - most likely work and not getting enough sleep. Also possibly side effects from various meds? However, I was able to jog down about ten blocks without being winded, so I'm apparently in better shape than I thought? Racing to down a train platform every day possibly has an effect? (I have to walk half jog down a long train platform in about three to five minutes flat each day to catch a train. I clock out between 3:51-3:54 and have to catch a 4 pm train. It takes five to six minutes to get to it. Down five flights of steps (faster than an elevator) across the air train lobby, up four flights, with a long platform between and then
down the equivalent of ten blocks to get to the front of the train. It's clearly getting me into shape - far more useful than riding a bike at a gym or doing aerobics. There's something to be said for a commute that requires a lot of walking, going up and down steps, and jogging.
Now if I can just add yoga to it.
