Quiet day. I meant to do more but I barely slept, so was lazy, and dozed.
Did take a short walk and picked up a few odds and ends from Carnival - the corner Fruit and Vegetable Store, which feels a bit like walking into a European or International Grocery Store - it has stuff from India, Germany, Turkey, Eastern Europe, and Central and South America. Also the Middle East. You literally can get chocolate from five different countries in this place, along with assorted teas, and other weird speciality items.

I did not. I just got chocolate, diakon radish, leek, turnips, broth, and that's about it? Oh, some energy drink.

And I watched Funny Girl on Amazon Prime. I'd never seen it. It's the remastered version. Better than expected, it holds up well, and the following is apparent after seeing it: ( Read more... )

I'm still smarting over the vacation issue in regards to crazy workplace. I'm going to have to put my foot down next year with BYT and BB, and insist on taking two weeks in a row. And if they have an issue with it - I'll have them discuss it with my union rep.
