* Wear Brown Shoes Day: Do you own any brown shoes?

Yes. But not many, and I rarely wear them - because horribly uncomfortable.

* National Repeal Day: December 5th marks the end of prohibition in the United States (back in 1933). If you're not American, did your country ever prohibit the sale of alcohol (or maybe it still does)? Does it make sense that alcohol is legal, but other substances aren't?

Yup, that failed. They tried to outlaw tobacco - but epic fail. And finally legalized Marijuana, because that also was a bit of a failure.

Alcohol isn't as dangerous or addictive as cocaine, heroine, crack cocaine, meth, or opium. Not everyone who drinks alcohol gets addicted to it for example. While everyone who tries heroine, cocaine, or opium - kind of does - it's more likely to become an addict. LSD is a hallucenic drug that can cause a mental break. Also those are drugs that can easily be laced with something nasty like fethanyle and kill you. (They are having that problem in the City - to the degree that there are ads everywhere about how to detect it.)

Also, it's really hard to make something illegal that has always been legal for the most part (outside of that brief period in the 1920s, which resulted in a rise of organized crime and speakeasies).

*Put on Your Own Shoes Day: How old were you when you learned to put on your own shoes? How about when you learned to tie your own shoelaces?

I have no idea. Took me a very long time to figure out how to tie them though. Why? I'm dyslexic. I flip things in my head. Or reverse them and have to reverse it back again. So I kept doing the opposite of what I was being shown to do when tying shoes. They finally taught me by telling me the rabbit ear story. It was a frustrating experience.

* Cotton Candy Day: Do you like cotton candy? (Also known as Fairy Floss.)

Fun to eat. But far too sweet.
