Dec. 9th, 2023 09:01 am1. Good Reads is not a good indicator of the books that I've read and listened to this year - mainly because I keep forgetting to update it.
I read three to four often at a time. Depending. Because I do read comic books - although I'm annoyed at the moment, so it could end. They keep killing off my favorite character or sidelining him. The good news is I do like other characters.
2. Completed the at-home sleep apnea test last night. It basically involved watching a video. Taking the...oh frak that, here's the video:

The finger tip thing is not comfortable and it took forever for me to forget about it. Also I'd been told by the technician not to put it on a finger with a pulse - and pretty much all of them appeared to have one - so I went with the weakest.
And, it took a long while to get to sleep - because I kept worrying over it. Gave me weird dreams. I had this dream of going to a movie theater with it on, and then going to a hospital or attended sleep study with someone else, and being woken up, and how I kept waking and there not being enough time on thing? I did wake up once - around six (which is normal considering I get up at 5:45 am each morning).
At any rate, I woke from these nightmarish dreams (or worry dreams) around 7:15 AM, and checked the app - I had 8 hours on it. (I have to have at least 6 hours). So I ended the recording and sent it. I got the Thank You response in less than a minute. Then I sent a message to the doctor (technician) that I'd completed the study. I'm to keep the device until they respond, which most likely won't be until Monday - since they aren't there on Weekends.
3. It's actually a pretty day, blue sky, a few passing clouds, sunny. I may go out and frolic in it at some point. I need to buy things online for my family, mother is being difficult again and not telling us what she wants.
4. Debating trying the Artist Way group at church - but work has eaten my brain (literally, I have brain fog at the moment and keep spacing out), and everyone in it is either retired or does art for a living.
Also debating going to church on Sunday - they have a solist and a jazz orchestra. But - I can also watch on FB. And it's supposed to rain heavy tomorrow.
5. Oven/Stove - Super did something to his knee and had to get a cortisone shot, and be on pain meds. Plus the Doctor told him to rest it for a few days. I told his wife to wait until Monday or even Tuesday of next week. I'm in no hurry, and can walk around new stove/oven - it's unlikely to go anywhere or be damaged in front of my door (I'm on the third floor in an apartment building). His health should come first and be their priority.
I can wait.
Seriously, installing an oven when you have a bad knee - is not a good idea. Take a few days, let it heal a bit, then do it. Or get someone else to do it. One or the other.
