Ugh, skin rash from heck is bothering me still...it's not horrible, but it stings occasionally and burns. Like pinpricks. And I've noticed cluster breakouts on my shoulder and back, although no blisters, more pimples. Also I'm taking Benedryl (which makes me edgy and irritable on a good day), and horticozone to treat it. It works - but makes me edgy and irritable.

I'm not sure what to make of it. They are too close together to be Bed Bugs or flea bites. And there are no bed bugs on the mattress. Also I've not gotten them anywhere else, like the normal spots.

Mother thinks it may be Dermatitis Herpetiformis a skin rash associated with ceiliac disease. Apparently her friend has this.

Someone on line said it reminded her of when she had poison oak - except I've not been anywhere near it. There is no poison oak in my house or anywhere that I work.

The blisters are too close together to fit bug bites, either flea or bed bug. It doesn't look like scabbies, or mites.

Ugh. The doctor thought it was probably contact dermatitis, that I ate or brushed across something that I'm allergic to, or used a cream. I don't know.

Here's a recent photo of it:

And photo of breakout on shoulder..

[ETA: After contacting sister-in-law, and posting to FB - have come to the conclusion that it's shingles. Called in FMLA (paid) - aka sick tomorrow, and set up a virtual doctor's appointment with my primary care's doctor's office - to get a better diagnosis. Sisinlaw told me to do that immediately and see if I can get anti-virals to help. Also advised that it is crazy contagious and that I should call in sick to work. (I don't know - I didn't have open wounds last week. But kind of do this week. ) I didn't know it was shingles last week. It may be a milder case - but I'm kicking myself for not getting the damn vaccine this summer.]

Meanwhile, Mother is hoping the threatened Federal Government shutdown won't cause me issues getting through security to fly down to Hilton Head around October 14.

I may have to leave at the crack of Dawn, and pre-plan for two hours walking through security.

I attempted to find the dyslexic book reviewer - who can't read anything in all caps, bold, or italics or highlighted, and ran into a lot of idiotic book reviews on youtube by really annoying twentysomethings who all look alike. This is the problem with reviewing in the information age - everyone and their pet does it. And some people are not cut out for it. They also all do it as a youtube podcast.

At least for the last few shutdowns, TSA hasn't been affected it all, if it helps to know.
