1. "They Always Pick Barabbas..."
I think I've hit the fourth stage of grief? There's five stages? Denial, Bargaining, Rage, Numbness/Depression, and Acceptance?
Today, I kept dozing at my desk. Although I actually deigned to talk to more people - after I managed to convince myself that most of my co-workers had voted for Harris, and were as disappointed and grief stricken as I was.
Breaking Bad: I'm very disappointed too. (He shakes his head.) No matter the situation, people will always choose Barabbas.
Me: what?
Breaking Bad: When given the choice they will always choose Barabbas. As they did in Roman Times - when they gave them the choice - who do you want to set free? They chose Barabbas.
Me: Ah, kind of like they also chose Hitler...I no longer wonder why they did. I unfortunately know...
Breaking Bad: He's viril, pretty, white, blond...and charismatic. And they are uneducated. That's the one thing no one talked about on a platform - education. We have the worst educational system. No longer even have a Regents Exam. People don't know their history - they don't know anything..
Of course they chose Barabbas.

2. Skipping the Concert, to stay home and Veg...or Crash
Tonight, Emma's Revolution was playing at my church for $25 bucks a pop, but I couldn't find the energy to go. I'm tired. Slept slightly better last night - six hours instead of the mere three, and that helped. I'd like nothing better than to curl up and sleep away the weekend and maybe the next four-five years. Not get out of bed. Sleep. Hibernate.
My MP3 player for once kind of picked up my mood - and Apple Music fed me songs that fit it such as Hold On, Suicide is Painless (MASH theme), Happiness is a Warm Gun, Happy Xmas (War is Over), Daykeeper, Summer Lies, Play with Fire, Dance Slow Decades, What do you do to my life...
3. When did Justine Bateman go Batshit Crazy? Aka the Hazards of Being on Social Media - finding out things you don't want to know..
Then on Twitter, which was kind of being good for a bit - I tend to retweet and follow Women's Art, mostly, and very liberal General Hospital Soap Fans, along with very liberal X-men comic fans, and very liberal music fans, and television writers - did finally slip up. I guess it was the law of averages? I mean it is Twitter, bound to happen eventually. Someone on Soap Twitter (of all places - I mean you'd think you would be safe from this stuff on Soap Twitter, right?) - decided for reasons that escape me, to retweet some incomprehensible nonsense from Justine Bateman (who has without warning suddenly become a crypto fascist) that I really could have done without. When did she go crazy? I thought she was sane? The last time I encountered her online - she was speaking out against AI. [My current wish is AI kills Musk, and launches an initiative to save the environment.]
4. Does Size Really Matter? (I mean this in regards to ahem...vibrators?)
Meanwhile on a lighter, and somewhat bizarre note...Buy Nothing Project - Kensington Facebook Group posted..an interesting item for free. (No, I did not request it - or put myself in for the raffle. I didn't find out about it until long after it was held.)
( NSFW or kids under the age of 16? )
The ahem, Pigeon was put there to show the size. They also put the ahem object next to a pumpkin (it's taller than the pumpkin) and a banjo.
And they say...size doesn't matter.
5. And in other news..There's wildfires in New Jersey. According to mother they were spraying the banks of the Hudson near the George Washington Bridge - with the Hudson water - because the banks were aflame on the New Jersey side. There's a fire warning for New Jersey and New York right now, because it has been so dry. But the good news is a huge snowstorm hit Denver - and that could bring rain our way.
Also Rafael is gearing up to clobber Texas (specifically Bocca Chica Texas, where Musk lives (hee hee hee hee), Mexico, and Lousiana and Mississippi.
Oh, and least I forget, per Mother (I'm avoiding the news for the moment - I get it from other people who foist it upon me against my will) - apparently the Iranians are plotting to kill the Boogeyman in retaliation for Israel killing their General. But they couldn't make up their mind on when to do it? Should they do it now or wait until after January 6th? And ended up getting caught.
Frigging hell, can't they find a competent assassin? I swear the Boogeyman is like a cockroach. Or they just don't train assassin's the way they used to?
