Took today off for an eye doctor's appointment at 3:45 pm. Could have gone to work - but I still would have had to leave work around 2:45 to get there. Which meant taking either an hour and fifteen minutes of comp time, FMLA or Vacation. I figured since I had vacate time to burn - might as well take it.

At work? Didn't move us today at least.

Per Breaking Bad - all he got was an email from his boss that they now have an office for him, but that was it. He still doesn't have a timeline. It will either be this week or next year, I hope. Doesn't matter - I packed everything up. And reconsidering a few items and just putting those in cabinets. I have a lot of extraneous files that management made me put together, when in reality all we needed were the electronic versions. I kept electronic files regardless. I was among the few that did - so the problem is the inherited files from people who ahem, didn't?

I'm not scanning them in - I can't find them anyhow. And Breaking Bad has been handling them - they are in his office.

Got my brother's and mother's packages from Amazon via the locker without any issues. (Thank god.) Apparently they fixed the problem from September, and figured out that they have to remove packages after two days and not just leave them there for the Super to remove.

Also, the Super has installed a life size dancing and singing Santa in the lobby of the apartment building, next to a eight foot tree and the Amazon lockers.

I didn't get a photo of the tree, just the Santa and Amazon locker.

Finished Man on the Inside - more heartwarming than humorous. It's the new Michael Schur dramedy that is on Netflix. It's about an engineering professor who goes undercover fro a PI at a retirement home to undercover a stolen necklace. It has a story about Alzheimers in there.

Halfway through S2 Arcane. It's not quite as good as S1, but it does a good job of exploring the characters and providing them with decent emotional arcs. Although there is the ever present video game feel to the proceedings, the artistry is among the best I've seen to date. And the story hits all my kinks pretty hard.

It doesn't appear to be raining at moment, which is good. Hopefully it won't be raining when I take off for the doctor appointment.

Need to hop off to bed. Waiting on the arthritis to stop aching. Took an aleve for it around 8pm. Far enough away from my blood pressure meds.

Tired. Slept fitfully the night before. Although had the day off for eye doctor appointment.

It took two and a half hours to see the doctor. I got there only to discover he was delayed by two hours. I found that out after I'd been there for an hour and a half.

I got there at 3:49. Tech saw me around 4pm. My eyes were dilated. I was told to sit outside in the waiting area and someone would call me to take pictures of the retina, etc, and see the doctor.

I got in the waiting room around 4:20. I sat there until 5:15, and thought, okay, WTF? I ask the people next to me. And discover they got there between 2pm and 3:15pm. One woman had been waiting since 1:45pm.

The man who got there at 3:15 pm, gave up after waiting until 5:45 pm, to see the doctor. He'd made through the second tech and to the second waiting room, when he gave up.

I got out of there around 6:30pm (I did see the doc), walked to the grocery store, got groceries, and got home around 7:30pm. It's about a ten block hike and a subway ride and another five block hike to get home.
