More memage found on correspondence list. I don't make it - I swipe it from someone else.
1. What was the last thing you put off doing?
Vacuuming. And sigh, the mammogram and dental appointment. Also scheduling lab work. It's doctor stuff that I tend to procrastinate. Also cleaning my apartment. I really need to get rid of the old coffee table which I'm using to store books and DVDs in, and to put art stuff on, and at the moment stack pillows and presents on.
To be fair on the doctor's - I've seen so many this year, I'm losing count. I also went through my union reimbursement and my HSA. Latest is the ENT.
2. Do you eat your dinner at a dining table, coffee table or off your lap?
I don't own a table that I can eat on. I eat it on a tray, on my lap, in front of the television. I live alone. It works for me.
3. Do you prefer holidays where you relax or actually do things?
Relax. I usually visit mother over the Christmas holidays - and let her go full on Christmas. But alas, my Crazy Workplace (and current managers) won't let me visit mother this year - so I'm kind of doing it myself, well sort of. I have two Charlie Brown Christmas trees. Some lights. Presents.
And Egg Nog. And Brandy. I might do mulled wine with the scant red wine I have, if I can remember how to do it.
4. Have you ever attended a black tie formal event?
Yes. Can't remember what it was - but yes, more than once, most likely a very long time ago.
5. Can you snap your fingers?
yes, but kind of half-assedly. And only on my right hand. The left refuses to cooperate and figures since the right can do it, why should it bother.
6. Have you ever broken a window?
Maybe? I can't really remember. I think I did once as a small child in Pennsylvania - but it was a terribly long time ago, and clearly not that big a deal - since I can't remember.
7. Have you ever finished reading an entire book in a day?
Yes. Undergrad often required this - since I had a new class each month (it has a weird system) and we often had to read about ten-twelve books that month, plus write papers on them and discuss them. I read Catch-22 in one day. I do not remember any of it. My grandmother was proud to tell me that she finished Gone with the Wind in one day, she remembered more of it than I did Catch-22.
8. Do you know how to play pool?
Yes. I suck. It's like Chess. I don't care that I suck. Also, the whole depth perception issue plays havoc with Chess.
9. If you had to be trapped in a TV show what would it be?
Most likely a nice series like the one about helping restaurants in lovely locals succeed, or Great British Bake Off. I also wouldn't mind something like Virgin River or Sullivan's Crossing.
10. Do you dream often?
Yes. They make no sense most of the time, but yes.
So, here's a picture of my little Charlie Brown Christmas Tree:

I put the gifts from my brother, his family, and mother beneath it. I was going to put on the other side of the television. But, that's where the ceiling fell last year around this time. And I decided not to test the karma gods or jinx it. Still have the mini-wave on the television set from that.
Super's wife called me at 8:30 AM to inform me that I'd received a package at 8PM last night, and she was taking off for her son's school this morning and couldn't give it to me. And I should get it.
When Amazon came around noon - I signed for my second package. She was going to leave it next to my door. Amazon has begun to leave packages next to our doors and takes photos of it - because of the package thief.
