I keep thinking - eh I appear to be getting better, maybe I can lug myself to work tomorrow. To which mother and Wales exclaim: Of course you can't. They'd look at you weirdly and tell you to stay home. You have no voice, you are coughing periodically, you sound horrible...come on. (And they only heard me over the phone. Plus, COVID. I really should stay put until Wed.

1. The UK has a ‘National Financial Awareness Day’ today. How are your finances (no need to go into specifics - but do you have enough to do what you want, when you want)?

This is weirdly personal? But yes, I should. No debt. Lots in savings.

2. Do you like showing your feet (do you have nail polish on your toenails)?

I don't really care? My feet look fine. Also they are far from me. I'm about six foot and most of my height is in my legs. No, on the nail polish, because nail polish or so I've discovered, promotes fungus for some reason or other. That and stubbing ones toe and losing the toenail, which I have less control over. I don't like nail polish. I tend to peel it out my fingernails. And it tends to make my toenails hard and fungusy. Plus costly. I was raised in a family that wasn't into that sort of thing?

2. Today in 1939 The Wizard of Oz premiered at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, starring Judy Garland. Have you ever seen it?

Yes, multiple times. It used to air annually around Thanksgiving, I think. It was one of the movies the three broadcast networks aired. The others were Sound of Music, the Grinch who Stole Christmas, A Christmas Story, A Christmas Carol, and Gone with the Wind. It got to the point that I had them memorized. Now, they come on air? I scroll on by.

3. What’s the weather like today where you are?

Beautiful, clear blue sky. But, alas, am sick. COVID. Yesterday was kinder - it rained.

And this meme that I stole from maeve rigan, which is rather long, so I may shorten it. I did. I turned a 65 question meme into a 20 question meme.

1. What proportion of your meals do you cook?

All of it. Dietary issues.

2. Foaming hand soap or normal hand soap?

Foaming if at all possible, sometimes normal liquid soap.

3. Favorite chore?

Robot Vacuum. Kind of self-explanatory.

4. Least favorite chore?

Anything that involves getting on my hands and knees - so cleaning the bathroom. Also not fond of laundry - but that's mainly because I have to lug it to the basement and occasionally compete with folks for machines.

5. Any groceries you've been getting into lately?

Pre-made salads...preferably with spinach, walnuts, strawberries and feta, or black olives, cucumber, spinach, tomatoes and red onions. That and the Cesare dressing (I don't do salad dressings at all - but I like this).

Oh, when I can find it? Udol's pre-made gluten free pizza crust, naked. Or Shiar's gluten free bagels.

6. What cleaning product do you swear by?

The Clorox/Lysol wipes. Sanitizes and cleans at the same time, no mess.

7. What's your emotional support craft?

Drawing, writing, and painting.

8. Youtube, cable TV, or streaming?

Cable and Streaming. I rarely do Youtube, unless necessary. It annoys me. But it does come in necessary for anything web related.

9. How many cups can you see from where you're sitting?

I've got three water bottles. But no cups.

10. Which filter are you most likely to go "eh, it's probably fine" when you find out you need to change it?

All of them? A/C, Two Air Purifyers. Mainly the air purifiers - which require spending money to replace.

11. How often do you take baths?

Stopped ages ago. Just take showers now.Was never really a bath person - the appeal is kind of lost on me. I've tried, and it just...I prefer showers.

12. Do you go down each aisle when you grocery shop, or only the ones you know you need stuff from?

Depends on the grocery store? I live in NYC, usually grocery stores don't have many aisles and they are a struggle to get through, tight spaces. So if only two aisles? Maybe both. But usually only the aisles I need stuff from. I've learned to look at signs.

13. What's your go-to tape?

I wondered for a minute if this was in regards to cassettes. But it can't be, right? Cassettes are a thing of the past so are tapes in regards to music or film. So...duck tape.

14. What's in your freezer right now?

Breyer's Vanilla. Bean Ice Cream (small pint, halfway through), Talenti Cold Brew Non-Dairy Sorbet (also halfway through), remainder of tangerine orange non-dairy sorbet halfway through (via Ninja Creami), Gluten Free Beechers World Famous Mac & Cheese, a lot of frozen gluten free diners I got in 2020-2021, which I should probably through out, tuna, gluten free broccoli pizza, udoli's gluten-free pizza crust, gluten free flours, and ice packets for sore muscles.

15. Last concert you attended?

It was probably Aimee Mann at Irving Plaza in NYC around 2002-2003. I don't remember anything after that.

16. Paper bags, plastic bags, or reusable bags?

Reusable cloth bags - sturdier, and the don't get stuck in the trees in my neighborhood.

17. Do you get your government mandated 8 hours every night?

I don't know what this is?

18, Would you rather sit on the porch drinking sweet tea or sit by the lake drinking beers?

Neither. I don't drink beer or sweet tea. Unsweetened tea, yes. Sweet no. It's painful - in the Southern US, you always have to request Unsweetened. I swear, people are addicted to sugar in the US.

19. How do you take your morning coffee/tea?

Black Tea (Chai Spiced, Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast, Breakfast Blend) with cream, no sugar.

20. What's your commute like?

An hour to an hour and 15 minutes. A subway, a commuter train, lots of walking and climbing steps. I basically walk 2.4 miles daily just on the commute.

I don’t think you are missing anything with Little Lord Fauntleroy. I refuse to watch it but my MIL loves it. I think I did see it on TV as a kid.
The Cinderella movie is this one https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070832/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
I watched it once, that was enough.
