Amanda Palmer song..."Little Island

Judy Blume

and

Drowning in Sound

I wouldn't call Palmer a great singer, but she's interesting. She is a kind of performance artist? Or conceptual artist?

Rigorous thunder storm. For a bit - the lighting seemed to be flashing in my living room along with the thunder. Unnerving. I was glad everything is grounded. My paternal grandparents once watched a bowl of lightening come into their living room and blow out their television set ( I don't know if it was true, but definitely scary - it was in the 1970s).

The electricity is thick in the air, and it's pouring outside. Not surprised, the temperature went from 95 degrees to the 60s.

You're on the East coast, aren't you? You must have gotten that system a few hours after we did. Also--I am fascinated by accounts of ball lightning. My favorite poet described one that he (or maybe it was his relatives) experienced in the early 1900's, not too far from where I live. I kind of want to see one, but also not a fan of the damage is can apparently do.

I’m a fan. She puts a lot of emotion into it and I just like the songs. She’s great live too.
