And for once I actually feel it. I feel all fifty-eight years of wear and tear on my body. And had been feeling it long before the day arrived. When it did, I took a breath of relief, and thought finally, on the exhale.

I survived another year on this twisty and constantly turning planet, and I'm grateful for that. My co-worker lost her Aunt this year, who was fifty-seven, and so many have died at that age, if not before, this year alone - so making it to fifty-eight? Is a minor accomplishment.

Day 9 of the March Meme: Do you sleep well? How many hours would you say are ideal for you?

No, I do not sleep well. I blame Anora and Daylight Savings Time. I've always struggled with sleep, it's most likely genetic? Since everyone in my bloodline appears to? We have active busy minds. Seven hours is ideal. Anything below six, and I'm edgy, and anything above eight, I'm groggy.

The rage and edginess left over from watching Anora last night - caused me to stay away until long past midnight, and with the on-set of Daylight Saving's Time? I slept barely five hours. And awoke with a sinus headache that hung around until around 4pm, when it finally passed.

I did however nap today, which helped with the migraine/sinus headache. As did the sinus headache medication.

That said? I've quite a bit to be grateful for. My niece called me from Montana to wish me a happy birthday, and we chatted for almost an hour - before she had to flee to a friend's party, requiring changing and packing something or other for it. Niece interrupted the phone call from Wales who'd also called to wish me a happy birthday, and we chatted for a while as well. And then my mother called to wish me a happy birthday. Bro and sisinlaw texted.

Bro sent this video... A Hostile Government Take Over.

The extended sent me Birthday Greetings via FB, along with various college friends, and friends I've met through church, work, and fandom over the years.

I'm grateful for my family, my friends, and the many people who have taught me so many things over the years.

I'm grateful to be another year older. I'm grateful that I'm healthy for the most part, and still gainfully employed, doing work I enjoy and that helps others regardless of class, race, gender, etc. Not only that? I'm grateful for a diverse work environment and a diverse living environment.

I'm grateful to have this social media platform to express myself, and to interact with others with diverse and interesting perspectives. I appreciate the ability to share mine, and to see yours, even when we don't agree. Often we or rather I learn the most in the disagreement.

I'm grateful for the sunshine, and the blue sky today. And to greet another day, when so many cannot.

I'm taking tomorrow off - and am thinking of taking a long walk and relaxing. This is my new year's and hopefully this year will be better than the last one. There are a few things I'm looking forward to in the next two weeks:

1. The first Broadway Show that I've been too since roughly 2019.

2. Crazy Org's Talent Show

3. Brunch with Wales

And I'm scheduling a mini-vacation to visit mother down in South Carolina.

Oh, here's my painting of the woman with the fire pants that was sitting next to my subway, three weeks ago:

Oh, but yesterday on International Women's Day? A young woman came into the fruit and vegetable store that I was leaving and handed me a flower and wished me a Happy International Women's Day.

Here's a photo of it reflected in my window:
