Well, apparently it's not just the Americans who aren't getting access to the newest episode of Who, it's also the Canadians - I know I decided to go link shopping and ran into a Canadian whinging about it. Got to see the first 20 minutes, before it ended abruptly and told me I either had to pay something or wait 60 minutes for the next bit (which never works). Highly annoying. All the other links required downloading - which I've learned not to do (the hard way) and/or just weren't accessible in my area.
Oh well. Just means I'll be a week late on my viewing. Nothing new there. Used to be worse, used to be six months late. Now it's either a day late or a week late or two weeks late. Far better than six months late.
Why the stupid channels don't air it simultaneously, I've no idea. Why does BBC America think they need to take Memorial Day Weekend off, for heaven's sake? It's not like people can't tape the thing.
From what I've seen so far, and flist's struggles with hiding spoilers (apparently the episode is an important one to the overall arc) - I'm guessing my previous hunch regarding what happens in the beginning of the Impossible Astronaut may be correct.
