I know the show is in syndication on TNT - which may be the reason. They may be holding up the DVD release?
It got very shippy in the fourth season apparently to boost ratings.
What is it about procedurals and situation comedies? They seem to last forever and produce like rabbits. A good cult series? You're lucky if it makes it three seasons. A procedural? It may stay on the air forever. Actors die? No problem. Just replace them with new actors. Law & Order is what on it's 15th season? I've lost track. Same with ER.
