Apparently I'm not going to change my political philosophy by osmosis no matter how many libertarians and pro-business republicans I surround myself with during working hours. ;-)

Islam is a religion with millions of believers, so in spite of some fundamentalist who become terrorists I don't think very highly of a quiz writer who calls the religion itself 'evil'.

Date: 2008-02-10 05:59 am (UTC)I'm thinking this may be human nature. To make generalizations based on what we think we know. Whether it be that all corporations are evil and anti-environment (which a surprising number of people believe - granted a good percentage may be, but NOT all are). Or all Islams are terrorists. Or all Jews question everything and are confrontational. It's still the same faulty logic. But, we do it anyway. I've been fighting my tendency to do it on a daily basis. It annoys me how often I make these dumb generalizations. Wish I didn't.
