While I like Hillary best on ending Iraq War, I like Obama better on everything else, and really despise Hillary's tax plan - which only aids middle-class families and married people and ignores people who are single or do not have children. Obama's considers everyone who is middle and more important lower income. Also Obama's immigrant plan does not require military or higher education. And he wants to put in place an education plan which involves teaching without relying solely on bubble tests or standardized tests (a testing method that is not only antiquated but hurts more students than anything else. I hate this method and it needs to be reformed yesterday.).

yeah, pretty much the same results I got...
not that I had any doubts about who I was supporting. Pretty much the Iowa Primary had set my opinion.

Interesting. Why? The hog farmers?

My opinion has fluctuated so much over the past several months, until I picked up Obama's book, which I strongly recommend. Not finished yet - but so far, it's as if someone handed me my political philosophy on a silver platter.

My father and I keep having political discussions on the topic - he's even more obsessed with it, but then he is also retired and a frustrated poli-sci historian.

He's currently supporting Clinton, two months ago he supported Obama and has read the book.
His problem with Obama and it is a valid one - is that Obama is going to be crucified by the Republicans on experience and the gaps in his policies. He also isn't used to fighting hardball - which Clinton is. Plus Clinton is a bit more pragmatic in her approach. His biggest fear is that the majority of Obama's supporters are the young, and historically the young don't vote in general elections they just go to the rallies.

I'm not sure I agree with this view. Nor am I positive at this stage it matters how effective a debator the candidate is, so much as how charismatic. I know a lot of people in their 30s, 40s and 50s who hate Clinton and are Obama supporters.

The more I think about the two candidates, I find I prefer Obama. Of course if Clinton got the nomination - I'd vote for her. I don't understand the people who state they would vote for McCain (who they don't agree with and don't support) if Clinton or Obama won?
That's irrational. Unless of course you honestly believe that McCain is the better candidate? Then go right ahead.
