Yes, this may be offensive to some, but it made me laugh out loud:

It's on YouTube and it's called "Kittens gone Bad".

Date: 2008-07-19 06:25 pm (UTC)It's fun - but I don't think it's worth paying money for. One of the better internet video/films that I've seen though. And Neil Patrick Harris definitely has a good voice.
Fillion wasn't bad either. Felicia Day...meh.
Could barely hear her. Marti and David Fury were great as news correspondents - doing another duet. And the geeky friend of Dr. Horrible? He was also in the TV Set or at least he looks exactly like the guy who was in that film.
Had an interesting thing to say about villians - which is that they are often more interesting than the hero and at times more heroic. Maybe because we see the flaws?
Hammer was perfect. Superman. While Horrible was a flawed man who wanted to change the world but mostly get the girl, he achieved the one but only by losing the other. And a nice satire on internet blogging...how self-obsessed bloggers can get, and completely unaware of the world outside of their blogs.

Date: 2008-07-19 06:53 pm (UTC)personally I love it enough to own it (I like it more every time I rewatch it... Joss packs a lot about how the writers just wanted to control their own worlds.. and cut off the stinky fish heads of studios and networks...) and I thought that Neil Patrick Harris' performance was really something special. I hope they do sequels but we shall see....
I don't think that Felicia's singing is the best, but she made a sweet character and she was the inspiration for Joss doing this in the first place. Her online series The Guild:

(which she writes and stars in) is very much rooted in the online world of gamers, with the kind of interaction we've all seen in online fandom and other groups.
