Apparently you can see how many hits your journal gets and whose reading it? Where is this feature? And how does it work? I looked and I can't find it any where.

You're right, not that helpful. Adding a counter sounds a bit like scanning things to my livejournal - it's all hard and stuff.

Wonder if that's what they are doing and if so, where do people find the time to do stuff like this? Sounds time consuming.

I ask because as I mentioned to londonkds below, on fandomlawyers, someone, was asking if they should be worried about a user with an ip_address at a law firm accessing their site on numerous occassions. Which raised the question - how did they know this??

You can turn on IP address posting of people who respond to comments, but that doesn't help if they're not responding.

I actually took a regular counter that logs IP addresses and imbedded it in my LJ entries. But I had to embed the code in each entry I wanted to count. Something to do with the way LJ technically uses frames. So I used it only for entries I was truly curious about. Embedding the code isn't a big deal. I used it in my personal LJ and I use it in every entry of my Fic community.
