Dear LJ if you don't stop spamming my livejournal with evil worste buy ads every time I reply to a post, I am downgrading to basic status - the heck with 15 icons and photobucket.

Highly annoying, particularly considering my current attitude towards best worste buy.

They did, however, send/ship to me the Farscape Complete Series - DVD - which is the 1oth Anniversary edition sans The Peacekeeper Wars. It is exactly as they advertised it - 26 discs, all four seasons, plus an archive disc (would rather have had The Peacekeeper Wars than the Archive Disc, but I guess I can always buy The Peacekeeper Wars from Amazon, it's also on my Xmas Wish List.). Note to anyone interested - The Peacekeeper Wars were NOT included in the Bestbuy set. Whomever said otherwise either got a special deal and paid a bit more. Or they are lying. I'm guessing the former.

They never sent me the Star Trek DVD that they promised. All they did was set up an account with my credit card that I did not authorize nor request. But hey, at least I got my Farscape DVD's which are quite pretty. So is the box. And they are the complete series with all the special interviews, making of, behind the scenes, etc. Only thing missing is the 4 hour miniseries that wrapped up the series, which I can always get via Amazon. And it was for a lot less than I could have gotten it previously...$69.99 plus shipping and handling isn't too bad. If you're eager - there's a great and far better deal right now for the series at Amazon - and it is the same package, just for a lot cheaper.

Try Amazon.com - last I read they were selling it for $58.99 plus shipping. Much cheaper than Bestbuy.

It's only being sold regionally? (ie. in the US)
Interesting. For some reason I thought it was available across the regions. (people on my flist were announcing it - that's only reason I knew).

Wonder if that's true with DeepDiscount and Bestbuy?
Probably. Not that I'd recommend Bestbuy...their customer service department is horrendous.

Sorry to hear that, I assumed when I read that it was being offered on Amazon that it was being offered internationally at that price. Assumed the same thing regarding Deepdiscount and Bestbuy. It never occurred to me that these discounts were only being offered to the US regional market.

My apologies. My above post must sound very whingy to you. ;-)

You can't get hulu? I can't either - but that's due to download issues and the fact that my computer can't handle it without crashing. Plus I hate watching tv shows on my computer - so not an issue anyways. But I thought everyone could get hulu??

Did not know any of this. And I've got a lot of Canadians on my flist. I'm wondering how they are seeing these shows? Guessing via computer downloads and exchanging DVD's/Tapes?

It's probably just the American exports...if the work was published in Canada - it's more expensive here. Same with Tv shows. Doctor Who is extreemly expensive here and we don't get shows like Misfits or even Doc Who until long after they've aired in UK. We don't get many Canadian shows at all.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on one's pov,
America's major export is its media/communications.
US has managed to be the predominate lead in that arena.

Thanks, but don't have Firefox and a little wary of trying to download on my computer at home.
