Watched the Oscars last night, but stopped before Hurt Locker won and Bigelow got the award for best director - which was admittedly historical. First female to win the coveted best director award. She also got an oscar for best movie. Guess I'm going to have to watch Hurt Locker now - it's sitting on my tv stand, courtesy of netflix as we speak. In regards to who won? Wasn't surprised. Am relieved AVATAR didn't, not that I thought it would. That movie only deserved to win the awards it got: best special effects, best art direction, and the techie awards. I'm guessing from his expression - James Cameron agrees with me. It was a technical masterpiece and that's about it.

I also got in the mail, the latest Buffy comic or the infamous issue 33, courtesy of my friend embers_log- thank you so much! Will try to read and post a review on it in the coming days.

Today was good overall. Accomplished quite a bit at work. Feeling positive for the first time in a very very long time. Anger, I've decided eats at the soul.

Have to admit, I've not made it through Hurt locker so far, it seems to be quite a good movie though. I'm glad it beat Avatar too, though I think they undervedly got the art direction award for something that was mostly animated anyway.

There I rooted for the Austrian :), since their movie (the white ribbon) was absolutely chilling and that was to no small ammount because of how it was filmed to make it look old fashioned.
