I keep seeing ads for Livejournal - the first decade - pop inside the pages of dynamic content for the first decade of lj use. Okay, so...whose content is this? Ours? Or just people who volunteered?

Told Momster over the phone about the pilot Three Inches - whose synopsis continues to amuse me greatly. It's about a guy who can push things three inches with his mind (apparently this is a skill that is in high demand to fight evil) - an ex-government agent (Troy Hamilton) played by Spike James Marsters, takes him under his wing and enlists him to become part of a team of super-heroes, made up of - a beautiful girl who can control people's emotions at extreemly close range (of course she has to be beautiful, because why would we want to see an ugly girl do that?), a guy who emits a horrifically pungent odor that knocks people out (so what they found , and a guy who can see two minutes into the future - but gets really bad headaches whenever he does so. The team leader - is a cocky bastard with no powers. Then there's Mom played by Andrea Martin from My Big Fat Greek Wedding. This thing is basically a male Buffy for the X-men set or more likely a satiric take on the British series Misfits. The writer was involved with Twin Peaks. And it's by the same studio that's responsible for The Gates, Persons Unknown, and The Good Guys (not sure that's to its credit - since I couldn't make it through an episode of any of the above.)

Momster: so who is JM playing?
Me: a comic Professor Xavier like character
Momster: Who?
Me: Giles.
Momster: Oh.

Or rather, Giles by way of a retired Nick Fury.

Have to be selective with one's pop culture references.

Okay rant. Nah. I won't rant. Okay will rant. Nah, won't rant. Okay, I hate the lj edit function. There, said it.

I'm going to go to take a shower, go to bed and read. Feel crappy. Must have been something I ate.
