On lunch break - or at end of lunch break, rather.

Found a rather cool essay about how the internet has changed our perception of television or the breaking of the fourth wall - where in the past we had no contact with the creators of our favorite shows, now we are almost far too aware of them, and the same is true about each other's opinions of the shows.

A question - what does SJA stand for? A couple of people on flist were squeeing over it? I kept thinking Star Gate Atlantis, but that can't be right.

In a bad way this week - landlords are moving out, new tenat moving in - which provides upheaval and issues, plus stuff going on workwise...lots of upheaval and noises of upheaval, but nothing definite or concrete, making it difficult to plan or buy or order stuff. Feel like I'm in a permanent limbo with the world rocking ahead of me. Making me very cranky. So for my own blood pressure and yours, am backing away from reviewing, discussing, and critiquing tv shows, comics, books, etc for a bit. Will most likely read others posts, but not offer my own view. Not sure for how long.

Heh. Nope, SJA is Sarah Jane Adventures. It's a Doctor Who spinoff.

I see your query has already been answered. The reason we've been squeeing is that the Doctor guest-starred and it was all AWESOME! If you want to see the episodes in question, go looking for 'Death of the Doctor'. :)

(I'm presuming you're familiar with Sarah Jane, the character?)

Yes, just don't get it the series in the US (well not unless I can find a way to download it off the internet.) Syfy channel had it for a bit, but it's ratings weren't high enough for renewal, I guess. Nor did BBCAmerica pick it up.

Another question? Did Sherlock only have three episodes? That's all they are showing on PBS in the US.

Yes, only three so far, although it's definitely going to have more.
