From most of my flist - the best video I've seen in quite some time regarding Women and Equality.
This is for International Women's Day:

Also watched a bit of a Buffy convention with Claire Kramer, James Marsters, and Nicholas Brendan.
Made me really respect and love Nick Brendan. He's hilarious and refuses to take himself too seriously. Also made me realize - that Brendan is what made Xander likable, not the writing. Although I don't know why he hates "Beer Bad" so much, it was a hilarious episode. (shrug)

Off to watch Glee. And maybe have some hot coco with marshmellows.

I think Nick may just be reflecting the fact that fans are always down on Beer Bad (I always thought it was funny too, and I love this icon for it!)

I love this video, Daniel Craig did a great job without speaking, and of course Judi Dench was brilliant with the voice over....

I think I'll go have some coco w/marshmallows too!

Oh, I got your b-day card - thank you so much! It was perfect and said exactly what I needed to hear. Cheered me greatly. Thank you!

PS: Agree, great video. (I think it was the writers that were down on Beer Bad - it's the one they apologize for - they do it in the Commentary and the in the pamphlet listing the episodes. LOL!)

I always assumed that people hated 'Beer Bad' who hadn't rewatched it lately... because I just love so much about it:
An early performance by Kal Penn
Parker trying to seduce Willow (so so funny)
and Buffy turning into a cave man (I always loved getting to see SMG's comedy abilities! She really should do more comedy).

But I should go back and listen to the commentaries....

And I'm glad the car arrived on time! Have a great Bday.

Yeah, I don't understand his downer on Beer Bad either. It's far from the worst episode in the show. In fact, it's quite funny.

I think - the cast crew and writers decided it was the worst thing they did. There's an apology for it in the listing of episodes for S4, where they state : and we apologize for that one episode, we don't know what we were thinking. Until I listened to the commentary and some interviews, I thought they meant Where the Wild Things Are or Doomed. But no, it was Beer Bad.

So, I think Nick got ribbed by cast, writers and crew over the years on it. (Not really fans.)

Which is odd, because upon re-watching, Beer Bad is actually amongst my favorite episodes of the series, it's so funny in places.

And Xander has some of the best lines. I love the scene between Cave Buffy/Giles/and Xander - while she's watching cartoons.

Not to mention, Willow's talk with Parker, followed by Buffy hitting him over the head with her caveman club is just classic.
