All these posts on Flist about Being Human that I can't read, because I'm only two episodes in at the moment. So far, it's pretty good. Drags a little in places, but it's always drug a little in places - this show's never had great pacing.
Favorite characters by far - are Nina and George. I really adore Nina and George. Actually, I think Nina may be favorite character on the show.
I hate how they are writing Annie and have for quite some time now, she grates on my nerves. So whiny and needy. The episode Adam's Family - made me want to strangle her. Why are they writing her in this manner? And please tell me it gets better.
The exploration of Mitchell's guilt, fear of his friends finding out, and struggle with his addiction is better than expected. There's quite a bit of foreshadowing in Adam's Family that George is not going to react well to what Mitchell did in that Box Tunnel.
The series only has 8 episodes?? That's short. British series are really short. In the US, even the Cable Channels have at least 13 episodes. Reason for the 13 - is that is the smallest number of episodes for DVD sales or so I've been lead to believe. Yet, this does not appear to be a problem for British shows. So, Being Human ends and Doctor Who begins, is that how they plan to do it? I find Doctor Who oddly more enjoyable than Being Human, not quite sure why. Maybe because it is lighter?
This goes without saying, but please no spoilers on Being Human past episode two. Actually flist is very very good about this generally speaking.
Very productive weekend. But very tired, since did not sleep the best during it, also daylight savings time. Ugh. Only thing didn't do on my list of things to do...was apartment search (agent was out of town and I felt ill on Sunday so had an excuse), and clean apartment (vaccumed last week and cleaned counters, and laundry, but doesn't quite count).

Probably. I really like Being Human, but although it's deep, it is deep in precisely one way. (I mean, it's right there in the title.) Nothing wrong with that, and it does what it does very well, but Doctor Who is a
children'sfamily show, and is like a fairy tale in time and space, whereas Being Human is, by its nature, much darker.no subject
