Been sleeping horribly this week - combo of things, I suspect. But also starting to catch up to me. Drug myself through the day. Allergy season...last night sinus headache, night before full ears. Today just stuffy. Hear its the worst allergy season in years.

Watching Grey's Anatomy Season Finale in background. But sort of drifting off...so may watch tomorrow.
Already saw The Good Wife which was highly entertaining, and Vamp Diaries - also entertaining, although...I'm oddly more intrigued with what is going on with Jeremy than Stefan. Stefan's story feels a bit redundant after watching Being Human and five years of Angel.

Too tired to do any recaps or in depth reviews.

Quick impressions instead...most likely snark free, at least for now.

* Whose the judge that got killed? Did I miss something? Been admittedly in a fog this week. Don't think I did.

*The twist about Kalinda was hilarious. She tried to leave Alicia and move on, only to be told that her gig would be right back where she started - Peter Florick's head investigator. So she goes back to Lockhardt/Gardner - and picks the lesser of two evils - Alicia. Gotta give her credit for laughing about it. I adore Kalinda.

*Knew the hubby did it - saw that a mile away. Also good foreshadowing regarding Peter and Will. While it may be okay for Peter to sleep around, not so sure he can handle - Alicia sleeping with Will, particularly since he already believes that she is.

* Alicia's furious with Kalinda and Peter for sleeping together two years ago, and when Alicia didn't know her...oh Alicia, if you only knew the full story. You'd hate Peter for life and forgive Kalinda, well maybe. (Peter got sex in exchange for giving Kalinda a new identity and life. Yes, altogether now - Peter is a sleaze.)

*Will knows Peter cheated on Alicia.

* Lots of angsting over Damon. But what was interesting to me was how much Alaric, Stefan, Elena and Kathryn cared. Also that Damon was remembering that he chose to become a vampire, chose Katherine.
Which we sort of already knew...but I didn't realize Damon didn't?

*Stefan sacrifices his humanity, sanity, Elena, and people to save Damon? Ookay. I get he loves his brother...but seriously? Become something even worse than what Damon was to do it? Talk about taking brotherly love to the extreme. Proof that the greatest and most selfless and possibly most destructive love of Stefan's life is his brother Damon. And once again we do the metaphor of vampirism = alcoholism. Or you go on a bender and kill people. The only series I've seen that has handled this particular metaphor responsibly is Being Human. The other versions sort of wimp out. So - if you want to see this handled in a way that is well serious, multilayered, and not romantic, go watch the UK version of Being Human.

* Elijah...sacrifices everything to find his family, unleashing his evil brother onto the world. No one can kill Klaus or so we're told. (I was apparently right that the show would go with mythology over character arc.) Elijah isn't dead - he's just in stasis like the rest of his family I'm guessing.

*What does Klaus want with Stefan? Not sure. I'm guessing...another werevamp? And maybe Kathryn as well? A new family?

*Jeremy interests me more right now than Stefan - because now Jeremy sees dead people, and they are his past girlfriends. Talk about romantic binds. Poor Bonnie, she now has to compete with the ghosts of Vicky and Anna. That's at least interesting.

*Katrina apparently loved both Damon and Stefan, and echoes Rosmarie's sentiments to Elena, it's okay to love them both...I certainly did.

So now, we go from saving Damon to saving Stefan's soul. While Jeremy struggles with his new gift.

And what was that huge sacrifice we were told about? Oh right Stefan. And the surprise regarding Kathrine? Oh right - saving Damon. (I wanted something bigger...which most likely just means I've been watching far too many tv shows.)

* Did rather like the Sheriff Forbes/Caroline scenes. Sheriff Forbes is turning out to be amongst my favorite characters. She tries to shoot her old pal Damon only to kill Jeremy instead. Apparently the ring Jeremy wears doesn't protect him from human violence. Ironic, considering he got shot helping Damon - who killed him at the beginning of the season, but he lived because of the ring. And Caroline couldn't save him...like she could Matt.

Going to take a shower and go to bed.

All of which brings up interesting problems since Mayor Lockwood wants the "vampire problem" cleared up asap. Of course, she doesn't know about Tyler yet.
